Thanks for following along everyone. This will be our last report until Super Bowl. That feels like 2 years from now but we have another big trip between now and then and I gotta spread my money around to places other than Vegas. But first I gotta save some up after this last trip. I had some good wins on vp but 2+ weeks on the road still takes up your money.

Zion was our last stop. Initially we were only going to do one day but it was simply too awesome to only spend one day. So we doubled up. This decision was made even easier when we looked st the forecast back home, which called for snow. 85-90 degrees in Zion sounded better than snow for some reason.

Thanks for the great trip report! Love the pictures from Zion. We are going next week and heading to Zion as a side trip too. Your trip report helps me get through the long days leading up to my trip.

I’ve heard that a VP deck mimics a real deck and has to by law? Essentially once the deal comes out the deck is set and doesn’t change.

It mimics a real deck in terms of probabilities in most jurisdictions including Nevada. But after your random 5 cards are selected on the deal, the remaining 47 cards are constantly shuffled and is a legal requirement for Nevada.

Nevada's Technical Standard for Gaming Devices Sec. 1.400 6. says

    https://gaming.nv.gov/modules/showdocument.aspx?documentid=2920 (PDF File)

    6. Additionally, video poker games must not determine replacement cards prior to the player selecting hold cards and initiating a draw.

This is primarily done for game security reasons. If a player would happen to know what draw cards were coming in standard VP, he or she would have a significant edge.

Montana, Idaho, Nevada, California, Arizona, Utah.

I put about 6000 km on the Wagon Queen Family Truckster.i hated to mile up the vehicle but it is a means of conveyance. I also needed my satellite radio for those lousy stretches of road in Nevada Idaho and Utah. I missed out on several weeks of NFL so it was nice to have NFL on Sirius.

We drive my car to Vegas most of the time because of satellite radio. It’s a pretty miserable drive without it!

Hi one last time everyone. I haven’t gone through entire TR but Macker mentioned I hadn’t put pics up of Winchester House. It was pretty cool so I’m gonna put some up.

Ms Winchester’s bedroom. Staged, not original but we are told was similar.
