Thanks. Stopped in at the Host office and they comped off all the resort fees and my food. Seems the little bit of slot play i did made a difference in their rating. Have to remember that for future visits.

Cosmo loves slot players. And VP is judged by exact theo. :(

Since the VP tables are not great this might not be the worst thing. I was definately on the up side of variance so we’ll see how it goes next time.

Well, it sucks if you want to grind the really good games. One member here has given Cosmo a lot of grief because he needs to put through $60k a day through 9/6 JoB to cover a basic room there. Well duh. $60k is ~$300 theoretical loss.

It also is a bit of a bummer for people like me who tend to play the "best" game on any given machine. For older systems where mailer comp values on VP was the same on any given machine, players that played the best game benefited more. ;)

Can you help me with how to get it to work?

Booo at the airport just about to board. Played my normal $20 thru but could not duplicate the royal from earlier. It was a great trip and just what i needed for my brain. Will give final playing summary and thoughts once i get home and can put everything into the computer.

Thank you very much for that!!!!
So that's $10 in EV for the distinguished Gold Coast Buffet with that coupon...
Do you have any idea if at MSS, California, and Fremont, its 50 tier credits for their 500 point coupons?

(Sorry to hi-jack your thread Scott, but I have really been wondering that for a while now... Have a safe flight!)

For Ruby at MSS, Freemont and California you need to Play $500 to get a free buffet, and the 5x multiplier is play $500 get $5. The other tiers the coupons are still get 500 points and get a buffet and 5x are still in effect.

FYI any changes on ACG coupons are always updated on the ACG website right above where the entire coupon list is. Also updates are on the monthly newsletter that is sent out.

That's $500 coin in regardless of game? Not 100 Tier credits?

That's still pretty ridiculous for an ACG coupon buffet.

Here is the Sam's Town adjustment.

Sam’s Town: Boyd Gaming revamped their BConnected players club on August 27, 2018. Effective that date, the Earn 200 Points, Get a Free buffet offer has changed. The revised terms are Earn 20 same day Tier Credits to get a Free Buffet and that applies to all tier levels.

Or you can say none of those buffets downtown are worth playing anything close to that amount. Why not just pay for the buffet.

    Final recap.

Was a very enjoyable and relaxing visit to Vegas. I got to stay at a new property in an amazing room, for free :). Made my normal coupon run of off strip properties including Gold Coast, Orleans, Hooters, Ellis Island, SLS (I know technically the strip) and Jerry's Nugget. Matchplay coupons went horribly winning only 2/7. The free slot play went better and thanks to a quad at Ellis Island I think I broke even. I played all my Downtown coupons when I there in May.

Not a fancy eater so ate at The D Grill for breakfast most mornings. Binion's BBQ and Brews was very good. I like all the different restaurants at Cosmo but only tried a couple. Next trip will be more adventurous. Ellis Island steak special is an excellent value at $7.99. Will do it again next trip.

Rental car for the first 3 days was only a necessity for the coupon run. Next time I am skipping the car. Lyft was so convenient and pretty inexpensive. Both drivers were great. Will use this service from now on.

Gambling was an up and down roller coaster. I think I lost every session at the Vue Bar but was able to recover from nice wins at 4 Queens and the TDB quad on the floor near check-in at the D. Cosmo ended up being quite generous. I played a little more aggressively after hitting the dealt 5-play AWK so hard to say what the end results would have been without that hit. The royal on the last morning means I hit every hand during the trip. Coin-in by property below.

    The D $18,130 VP, $905 slots
    4 Queens $2,608 VP
Main Street Station 70 tier credits (no clue what that means with the new system)
El Cortez $670 (mostly playing through my loose quarters from home)
    Cosmopolitan $21,102 VP, $2,030 slot

Net win for the trip was just about $1,500.

While I very much enjoyed my stay at Cosmo I need to see what kind of offers they send and how much play it takes to maintain the offers. The less than impressive pay tables might not make the gamble worth the reward. I enjoy The D and will probably keep that as my base for as long as they will have me. Did not make it to the Palms this trip, hopefully next trip.

Starting a new job at the end of October so probably won't get back to Vegas till spring. Till then hope everyone gets lucky.
