Hello. i have lurked the boards a while and didnt see anything about this i also did a search and came up with nothing. Hoping this wonderful community may have some insight. I took CET up on an offer for round trip airfare and hotel offer to Atlantic City. I also brought along a friend who is a light gambler and doesnt have a rewards card. Im fairly confident this will go against my comps but for the play down here does it make sense at all for him to play on my card if he is a low roller and bringing down my average bets or should i just play on mine and he play on his that CET opened for him. Goal is to keep travel comps coming. Thanks in advance for any assistance :)

If it is slots, every dollar they play thru the machine on your card will help you. If it is table games the other question is, what is CET's policy in AC about 2 different people playing with the same card.

I've never had an issue with them "combining" play. Then again, I'm Diamond so they allow multiple bets with Diamond players. Frankly, I'd just have them get their own card. Also, if you want to play at one table and them at another, you can't split your card.

The comp is for you and has nothing to with the 2nd person your bringing along even if he/she doesn't
play at all. The Comp came from you previous play so dont sweat it. I wouldnt let them use your card as it will bring down your average. If they want to get there own players card and play that will not go against you

Bringing down an average doesn't matter to the computer. It is still increasing your theo dollars for the day.

If the person is staying in your room and playing on their own card a host can use their play for room charges.

This right here. You just used your +1 invite on the offer. That person is not being rated and has no obligation to play. Junkets usually let you bring someone along, since a lot of people simply wont travel alone for leisure.

If they do play, have them play with your cards on the machines. You are drawing the rating, not them. Make yourself look like a better player, and have them "earn" their free seat and bed that came with your offer,.

To echo and maybe even simplify what others are saying:

    1. Your +1s gambling or lack there of is a non issue on the Junkets

    2. Anyone gambling on your card at a machine only helps your theo and can't hurt even if they play low (so long as you are also gambling on that day using your card).

    3. Generally speaking someone else can't use your players card at table games. The exception would be if they are playing with you at the same table and if allowed your play would just be combined so it also wouldn't hurt your average.

IMHO, and AFAIK, your guest's play doesn't matter because it's "your" comp.

I've taken non-gambling relatives to two 7* signature events. The play was all on me, and therefore you.

I would encourage him to get his own card. They may want to track his play as part of the junket but it won't count against you personally.

I kindly disagree, bringing down his average to the computer will/could reduce his future comps as far as free play amounts and possible the amount of days offered as a comp if his/her friend low plays on his card.

Isn't the logic though that the computer would see that survivoropoly put 800 points on his card and person B using the card put 200 points on so the total earn is still 1000 points? If B were taking the card and staying extra days and low-playing I can understand adverse affects. But it should just increase the daily theo if the total becomes 1000 points vs. 800 points. Even if survivoropoly plays an average bet of $2 per spin and B plays .50 the total earn points still are in the same bucket. Correct? (In response to offshorecca).

Averages are by the day so as long as the OP has already triggered a “gambling day” then any additional play on his card would only increase his average.

Two part answer, Yes he would get more points But he ruins the risk of, lets just say his average bet is 100 bucks, and the guest plays 10 buck average using his card. Then it brings down his average therefore "Could" cause him to reduce his future free play amount along with reduction of other offers in the future. Either way it may or may not happen but I dont think it is worth the risk of finding out for just some points. I am a pretty strong player and seen first hand how play can effect offers in the future

If you think playing low at a machine on a given day when you otherwise play high in other machines then you are very mistaken. That logic is just plain silly. Your comps on slots is based on theo per day. The more you play the more your theo. Period. If I spend all day in the high limit room and then go donk off a few bucks in a minimum bet penny machine I am not going to reduce my theo from what it would have been had I stopped after leaving the high limit room.

OP didn't say if they're playing table games or slots. It seems the two are not equivalent. Slots doesn't matter...only total coin through matters. Table games MAY matter if they consider bet size in the equation (then it does) or if they just consider total tier points earned (then it doesn't). They do allow two of the same card at the same time in the slots, but they don't at table games. So, OP has to evaluate from there.

BINGO, great answer, My comments are based on table play which I feel very strongly on what I posted. Now I have no ideal on slots as I never play them. So if the OP is playing table games then play with cation because it could affect him. Have no ideal on slot machines

He was offered the Junket because his ADT fit the offer and cost. Two people is already rolled into the whole concept of it. And hosts teams will move even lighter once a plane is about to not fill... for example if NCM ( national casino marketing ) has purchased and negotiated TX - AC at x cost for 10 seats we may start at 600ADT but if the flight still hasnt filled moved it down to be offered at the 400 range. We are still like over a three day trip at the worst get $1200 likely out of you which for our $150 or 200 per seat works for us.. Thats how it with simplified numbers.

The quote from me with your bolded disagreement specifically says "at machines" so clearly thats whats I was talking about. Table play is a non issue since another palyer generally can't use your card at a table without you.

Thank you all for the help, I appreciate it! I am primarily a table games player, but will play a little slots here and there. I still got the offer for October at even less of a cost. My +1 barely gambled so you were all right in saying that he had no effect on my future offer.

Edit: Sorry for the late reply, I meant to do it sooner. I had asked at the beginning of the trip and read responses but failed to reply. So just wanted to say thanks now! :)
