    Hi

I'll be staying at The Downtown Grand for the first time for 9 nights at the end of October. I'm a low roller, but I see that there are some discounts available for loyalty program members, so I will be joining. I wondered if anyone here has any experience of the program and could tell me how easy it is to earn comps please?

    Thanks

My opinion is that the Downtown Grand loyalty program is the worst in all of Vegas.. They are stingy with free rooms and dont give you really anything..
The loyalty program is mismanaged.. I would recommend staying there but playing elsewhere.
    DISCLAIMER: THIS IS MY OPINION.

    cheers

No experience with their loyalty program, but Downtown Grand rooms are really clean and nice by my opinion!

We stayed there in August for 4 days for a wedding and ran about $7500.00 through slots & VP between me and the wife always used our club cards and at the end of the stay a host comped are room and the brides room all of the food and drinks we charged to the room plus the cabana we rented for the relatives and the $341.00 food and drink they charged to our room and offered a ride to McCarren if we needed it our rooms were comped up front but the rest was not we were very surprised to get it all taken care of we also gave away all of the food comps for play that we got at the keiosk and we earned around $400.00 FP. Food was good at freedom beat café and the cocktail service was great on the floor but I do tend to slot early in the morning when it was slow but never had a problem getting drinks anytime, the casino is nice but never to full to get on the games we like so that is a plus for us and it is not as loud in there casino as the ones on Fremont street, the rooms are really nice and the staff we had to deal with was very good. Not a pool person but the people in are group that were said the pool was really nice. We are in are early 50's and prefer downtown or off strip property's to the strip and have really enjoyed the relaxed vibe of the DTG. I do not think everyone has had the same experience as us there but we have stayed, 4 times and been very happy. Hope this helps.

As always try to connect with a host when you are there and pray that they stay there a while. As far as consistency with their comps and such -- I agree with vegasdev Inconsisten, Helter Skelter -- but the rooms are (in my humble opinion) the best in downtown.

I agree with the above posters. The offers/mailers you get from their Marketing people are nearly useless and borderline insulting. However, I have had a good experiences with their hosts in terms of setting up trips and taking care of room charges on the way out of town.
