Missing Vegas right now, there are no mosquitos.
Oh the mosquitos are bad. My wife came back from golf yesterday and must have had 40 bites and she used repellent. We walked the dog this morning on city sidewalks and they were just swarming all around us. We had a lot of rain last week here in SE WI.

Hard to imagine how bad it will be on the East Coast with all the water they are getting.

I played golf a few times in the Pinehurst region of North Carolina. In the middle of summer. Not only was the heat close to unbearable, but the mosquitoes seemed to be attracted to the OFF. One of our members was carried off into the woods by a swarm of mosquitoes and never heard from again.

Our mosquitoes on the Golf coast are legendary and they are in force right now! I think the super wet end of last summer (Harvey) and the lowering temps and rain we've been having lately has really boosted them. They are so bad we even get them inside at work. Our windows don't open the building is pretty well sealed so they are actually riding up on the elevator and making it all the way into our offices on the 9th floor behind glass doors.

Fun fact: The mosquitoes have historically been bad here. The local Karankawa Indians who populated this area were known to boil alligator fat, cover themselves in it, and when it dried use it as protection from the mosquitoes. How bad to they have to be before you are willing to do that?!

The complex that we live in has a company that spays for ticks and mosquitos in the woods behind my house. Seems to help. They put a type of fish in the golf ponds that eat the larve and they put up bat houses on trees to attract bats, they eat mosquitos like crazy. Have you tried using dryer sheets,?Rub them on you that helps.
The baymen here have a secret concoction for bugs,I forgot what it was. They have choppers also that spray the swampy areas to kill mosquitos ,Full out war on the NJ state bird.

I have not noticed them yet here southwest of Houston but I am expecting a full outbreak in the next few days with all this water around following a week of rain everyday and a couple more days on the way.

The worst mosquito infestation I have seen was a few years ago in Tunica (Gold Strike). They were all over the place in amazing numbers.

Yes, a mosquito bite (or several) on your penis is a miserable experience. Especially when you have to go to work that day and the itching is intolerable despite all your efforts.

Then your penis starts to think you're playing with it........:faint:

When the kid was small you didn’t want to use too strong an pesticide I was told. We used two tablespoons of vanilla in water. One of little misters you use for house plants. Maybe 10 oz He smelled like a cookie but didn’t burn cuts or irritate eyes. Amazingly it worked.

I am ready right now. I was bit a dozen times last night while watching TV! I sprayed Off around the windows and did all but spray myself. I should have, but logic told me that I shouldn't need repellant indoors.

Little fuckers are extra itchy this year, too...

Have not used it in a couple years but Avon Skin so Soft works (or did) as a repellent down here in SW Fl.I guess my county is doing a good job in control as it hasn't been a problem for me in quite awhile.

They have been so bad the last couple of weeks the bats are to fat to fly any more. Those fat suckers just fall out of the trees after sunset.
