My wife and I call it "gambletainment". If we win, we win, if we lose, we lose. We don't play for comps, we can afford the trip w/out a free room, but free is good. However, putting more money into a game than normal (table or machine) to get a free room or food just does not compute for me. Don't get me wrong, the more I play on a trip (I've been known to go on sober and drunk tilt) the more freebies (rooms and food) I hope to get.

To date, the vibe and employees at The Cal and MSS have been plenty to get us to return trip after trip after trip. We've payed for rooms, we've had free rooms. As long as the casino vibe and employees who know us by name and ask about our kids (and we only visit 2, maybe 3 times per year) are there, we'll be back.

I have never been to Biloxi but today's mail brought me a 3 night comp and $75 in FP offer for my "New Emerald Tier Benefit" at IP Biloxi.

Got our December Rewards mailer today. 4 nights & $50 slot $ each. WD from Main Street & me from the Cal. And since we were booked already for the time of our Mahalo mailer we each got a casino check for $200 to cash over our Christmas trip. So far I have no complaints but we'll see what the new year brings. We are both still showing as Sapphire....

It takes a few days for everyone to get their offers. They don't rollout to every player at once.

Got the exact same mailer yesterday. Been through Mississippi one time in my life about 30 years ago. Go figure.

Every time I see this post I think of Tina Turner singing "what Has Boyd Done To Us" instead of What's Love Got To Do With It"

Got our Nov./Dec. offers a couple weeks ago on-line for MSS/CAL. Not sure how they send them out, but they have been late getting us offers before.

@Ty we changed our plans up bit. Instead of staying at Suncoast Thursday & Friday, we are going to stay at 4Q and then move to Cal.
Btw I have a call scheduled for noon tomorrow with the new GM for MSS & Cal after I wrote an email complaining about all tha conflicting information I received over this past weekend.

    Average tourists key to vitality

What is going to be done to improve this statistic?

There are a number of ways to help ensure the numbers don’t dwindle, including lowering rooms rates for the average visitor, providing more comps for food and beverage, offering show and entertainment deals, and bringing back free parking.

The resorts’ focus on higher rollers, or so-called whales, is flawed since that’s an extremely small segment of the total aggregate amount of Strip visitors.

The argument for catering to the free-spending gamblers is they lose obscene amounts of money, but that’s eventually a shortsighted approach for keeping tourists coming to their properties.

Resorts need to again focus on the so-called average tourist as opposed to solely focusing on short-term prospects presented by the “whales.”

Taking a long-term look will help stave off potential dips in visitor numbers.

Since he / she is new they probably won’t realize whom it is he/she is speaking with. (Look at the video bub, that’s me, seat ONE!!). If he / she gives you any crap say you are having difficulty hearing, bad connection. Then we can call back and have a conference call!!! @Sonya can probably set that up for us.
Thanks for making the effort and the results so far. (When they say they can correct the problem for you (tap tap tap) ask if others need to send an email so to get their tap tap tap.)
    Good luck.

If my memory is correct from the BConnected Party, I believe the new MSS/CAL G.M. is a he with over 30 years experience with Boyd. I recall someone saying he may have been at the Main Street Station when they originally opened. Not that any of this matters, just fyi.

And I go to Biloxi a lot, and starting November for the first time in over a year I do not have any free rooms. So much for waiting to see after I played there again, they have decided for me.

This about CET and was posted on 7* Insider. So this look to be a growing industry trend.
During their presentation Frissora and Hession said that about 15 to 20 percent of Caesars customers are unprofitable and it’s now focusing on this group. Caesars will try to make them profitable for the company or stop comps to those who “live off our offering programs.” The company has a $1.9 billion yearly comp program, they said.
