I'm leaving for Vegas Monday, staying at CP and I went ahead and filled out the online application for a line of credit at Caesars. I'm just wondering if anyone has used the online app and about how long it took to get an answer. Will I know one way or the other by Monday when I get there? Did they email you with an answer?

    TIA

I have lines at CP and PH and I don't think I ever got any kind of confirmation from either one, I always submitted well in advance and ended up calling a couple of weeks before the first trips where I used them. I think I actually got emails that said they'd received the application, but never anything that said I was approved.

Everywhere else (several MLife properties, Palazzo, and TI), I got email confirmations when I was approved.

I don't think it takes long to do them, but you have to get to the top of the pile. Depending on how long ago you submitted, I'd give them a call. You still have to go to the cage and sign stuff before they activate it.

Thanks! I'll wait until towards the end of the week and then just call.

And thanks @Sonya (or whoever moved it)! I wasn't sure which forum to post that in. :)

They can get it done pretty quick as long as they can get confirmations from your bank and whatever credit checks they do are fine. In my case my bank required a separate authorization to speak to them which CET has but is not online. They sent it to me later in an email which I completed.

Just last week, I re-instated a LOC at Cromwell while in Vegas. They wanted copies of 2 bank statements and a contact at the bank and that signed authorization form. This was at 2:30pm on a Tuesday and they faxed it in to the credit department. I had emailed my branch manager to expect it and before the close of business for the bank that day I had my marker back.

Wow that kind of sounds like a lot of paperwork just for me to get a small marker. It takes me 2 minutes to get approval for a new credit card or car loan.
Thanks for the info! I'll see what happens. If this is going to turn into this much paperwork I may just bring cash. :)

I also have markers at several Mlife properties and usually (not always) just got an email later saying I was approved after doing the online form. They didn't need this extra authorization form.

So just an update in case anyone is interested in this topic in the future... I applied for the LOC on Monday via their online application. I basically just asked for the minimum amount as I'm not a High Roller. Late last night I got an email saying I was approved and just stop by the cage to sign. So it basically took just 4 days.

Do you mind stating how much the minimum is? I'm staying at Bally's next week and it would be nice not to travel with cash (normally only bring $2k, and then $1k a day in ATM if needed).

    Thanks!

The minimum at Caesars was $2500. I don't know if that is casino specific or the basic minimum for any CET property.

I think $2,500 is probably the minimum at all CET properties, or at least it used to be. I thought they had raised it a couple of years ago, but I guess not.

Yes, the checking account setup is great too! I plan to only use the LOC for what's in my checking. That way even if I lose it all I can pay it back before I leave.

Don't go "hoping" it is there.
Call ahead to verify.Call and ask for the casino cage. Let them know you want to verify the LOC.
It will be good for 6 months or so and we always call before each trip to ensure they still have our info on file and the LOC is active.

Thanks! I actually got an email saying they approved it and I just need to go to the cage and sign. :)

Sort of related. Before my last trip I wanted to increase my LOC so I called Cromwell and asked for the increase. The woman I talked to told me to check back before my trip to see if the increase was approved. I never called back because I really didn't care that much one way or the other. I go to the table for the first time and ask for a marker, the pit boss tells me I need to go to the cage. So I go to the cage and they tell me that my increase was approved but they consider it a new LOC so I had to sign all of the paperwork all over again. Not a big deal but it would have been nice to know that so I could have taken care of the paperwork before I sat down at the table. But that was all my fault for not calling back to check the status.

Very fast to get your LOC. If you set it up during banking hours (home banking hours...for me EST) it takes about 2 hours. If you set it up after banking hours less than 24 hours. So, even if you don't get it done prior to your trip you can set it up immediately upon arrival and have access to it.

Also, when I applied for my original LOC and asked for the increase, they asked when I was arriving in Vegas. They will get it done as quickly as they need to based on when you are getting there. If they have 2 weeks it may take 2 weeks, if they have 2 days it will get done in 2 days.

That's true, I think mainly because they want to get your balance information as close to your trip date as possible, not 3 months earlier. So they probably queue up the applications by arrival date instead of submission date.
