    My Trip Report

We got in Sunday night. Austin - Las Vegas- non stop. At first they announced a delay- but then it was on time. Flight was not full. Score empty middle seat. The hubby likes to man spread. Says the boys need to breathe. [emoji849]. It was a little bumpy in more ways then one. Lady behind us was her first time to fly- she was freaking out a little. We ordered drinks Husband had 3 wild turkey 101 I had 2 margaritas. Their cc machine was down so they comped us. Yeah!!

We were pretty sure the lady behind us was suffering from stress induced flatulence - enough said.

We checked in around 9:30 using auto check in and you get sent a code. Tried to get our keys at the Kiosk. Didn’t work. Had asked for non connecting and high floor. Nada on both. View us okay. Sunrise is gorgeous. Went to NYNY to eat at Shake Shack. Couldn’t find it ate at Broadway Burgers- yuck. Then found Shake Shack on the way out. Hit CVS for adult beverages. Husband got Crown and I got Svedka Peach. No gambling on Sunday.

Hit the hay early. Monday- to Bellagio- free MyVegas buffets x2. Just so so. Glad I didn’t pay for it. Then I gambled - nothing. Lunch was at Bruxie we split a chicken and waffle sandwich. It was amazing. They also gave a 25% military discount. Husband got his veterans Mlife Card. They don’t give points but gave a discount. Came to $14 to split a combo. Waffle fries were great to.

Husband went back to room to “rest” and watch news. I’m having none of that. I’m on vacation I don’t want to hear any news, zip, nada, nothing. So I went down stairs. Probably down $250. VP sucks. The bar is nice. They have a point system. You don’t get tickets like cosmo. You get first drink free and then you get one drink for every 25 points. But if you get up and change machines because you don’t feel lucky. You lose your points. I know I accumulated drinks faster at Cosmo than at Park MGM/Monte Carlo.

We went to dinner at the Pub at Tuscany. I used my ACG bogo. Husbbd got a burger with egg and bacon. I got fish and chips- it was decent.

Husband had a little buzz then got a Tennessee Mule- kicked his ass. Almost missed the show. Rat Pack is Back. I liked it. Dean Martin was good and very handsome- Hubba Hubba. Only complaint is the band is so loud. Drowns our the singers.

After show straight back to room. Husband not feeling well. Combo of eggs and bacon dishes 3 meals in a row and too many adult beverages. I went back down to casino. Lost lost. I love how airy Park MGM feels. But not loving the constant losing. Tomorrow is the Dam Tour.

My sleep schedule is all messed up. I like the room although it is a little small. View is pretty good.

Off to bed. Will limit gambling tomorrow. I’m saving myself for Fremont street in Wednesday.

I don't understand what the problem is...eggs, bacon and booze for 3 meals in a row sounds healthy. Hope the husband is feeling better tomorrow. Get some wins now!

Wheat is a vegetable, too. I sustain myself on a diet of pretzels and beer. My doctor concurs that I'm doing a great job!

The husband doesn't sound nearly as dedicated to the mission as you seem to be. Don't make us send a contingent from the board out there as reinforcements. Tell him he better buck up!! Hoo rah!! And all that.
Now go win some $ and take some pictures.

Got up this morning for the Dam Tour. Ate at Primrose. I had the egg and bacon croissant- very yummy- had a Chile relish- husband got eggs bacon and toast.

Never been to the Hoover Dam other than once to take pics off a bypass. Wish we would have done it in a cooler month. Stopped at the Pat Tillman Bridge.

Just took a power nap. Husband still snoozing. Think it will be Joes or Mon Ami tonight. Not sure.

Primrose cost for both of us $54 before tip. 2 coffee’s at $5 each, my croissant was $17, she also asked me what kind of water I wanted- I should have said tap, didn’t know they brought the whole bottle of Fiji and charged $8. The rest tax and the hubs bkfast plate.

    Pics of the Dam.

I got dizzy inside the power plant and had to sit down. I have a problem with heights. I can go up but I can’t stand on the edge and look down.

I did go up on the Tillman/O’Callaghan Bridge. Didn’t get dizzy there. And stopped at a Lake Mead scenic overlook. Had a great driver- other than it being too damn hot it was great.
