Bears will receive Khalil Mack and Raiders will receive at least 2 1st round draft picks.
Good news for the Bears. Questionable move for the Raiders.

Those cheap skates in Oakland simply do not want to pay up. Finding players like that is hard to do. When you are lucky enough to draft one you need to make an effort to keep them. One of the reasons that the Raiders are the Raiders.......

So, you have two first round picks from a not so good team, so they’ll be pretty good picks. What are the odds you’re gonna find another Mack, or even close?

The only thing which bothered me in this story was that Mack was still under contract while he held out. Who knows if he’d have showed up for the first Raiders game? I just think people should honor their contracts. Holdouts for “renegotiation” seem dishonorable to me. Fulfill your promise and then go for the big bucks.

We don't know yet as far as I've seen what the Bears gave up yet.
Rumor has it that Davis just doesn't have the money.

I guess he didn’t share in the profits for the last 3 years? Are the checks bouncing for coach John? Ohhhh nooooo!

Makes me even happier that I bet the under on the Raiders for the season. Of course, I was already assuming Mack would miss somewhere between 2 to 4 games, but still

Players like Mack don’t come along often... sad to see him go.

I honestly don’t see (unless it is illegal) why the club doesn’t work a package with sponsors / endorsements to get additional money / exposure for their players. Or offer future employment. At the conclusion of your career we wish to employ you as a running backs consultant for a salary of 1 million $’s per year for 10 years.
Even going into the broadcast booth doesn’t guarantee that and most of these guys won’t make a million a year after football. So offer modest now and a continued salary later. Nice young has a pretty sweet job at the university of Texas in the athletic department so why not this guy.

All of that violates the CBA with the players and circumvents the salary cap

According to ESPN.com, the Bears will be sending two first round picks to the Raiders (2019, 2020), plus a 2019 sixth-round pick and a 2020 third-round pick. The Bears will also be picking up a few draft picks. Along with Mack, Chicago will also receive a 2020 second-round pick and a 2020 conditional fifth-round pick.

Todays players ant their money now and the hell with the future. They don't care much what the players of past didi for them and don't care about doing the same for the future players. That's why they will NEVER strike.

On one hand I'm sorry to see him go to the Bears, the Packers did have a little interest, but the cost was too high. On the other hand, that is a very expensive, 1st round picks they gave up for the next two years. The Bears could be mortgaging their future on somebody that may or not play out.

Of course as a Packer fan, I'm hoping it doesn't play out.

Folks are ready to dance in the streets in Chicago because we are shocked to learn we got some picks back in return. If things go as planned, those 2020 picks won't be all that special.

    Raiders will reportedly get two first-round picks –– plus a 2020 third-round pick and 2019 sixth-round pick.

The Bears, though, in addition to getting Mack will get a 2020 second-round pick and a conditional 2020 fifth-round pick from the Raiders

Bears will need them because their wallet will be empty for Free agents now.
