Not one vote yet for Zuma?

That is by far my favorite place there.

I’ve only really eaten at one place in cosmo (2 if you count crack pie at milk), so my answer is Momofuku. Of course, it depends on what you like. I love umami flavors, and pork buns, and this place delivers. You can see pictures in the food pic sticky (first post, and a few more cosmo restaurants throughout) but for me, the best pork buns I’ve ever had by a pretty wide margin.

    *** TOP THREE (in order)
    (1) é by José Andrés: one of the top places in town, but not a traditional meal. It isn't quite as experimental as its older D.C. sibling "minibar", but is still lots of fun.
    (2) Jaleo: my favorite tapas restaurant. I like the atmosphere, and I like the food. Try the Jamón ibérico de bellota Fermín. It's $35 for one ounce, but that's enough for at least two people -- four if they want just a taste.
    (3) Rose. Rabbit. Lie.: judged strictly as a restaurant, it's pretty good but not a star. Judged as a bar with music and food, it's excellent -- better by far than music-less FIX (at Bellagio) or similar places.

    *** ALSO RANS (in order)
    (4) China Poblano: interesting pairing of cuisines, and good execution. It's not fancy, but I like it.
    (5) Zuma: pretty much like any other Japanese/sushi restaurant on the Strip. It's good, but doesn't stand out from the crowd, and off Strip places are much better.
    (6) Momofuku: not bad, but not good either. I really liked one of his NYC restaurants, but this one? Not so much.
    (7) Holsteins: adequate. You can do better.
    (8) Milk Bar: some tasty desserts (crack pie -- yum), but at ridiculous prices.
    (9) The Henry: meh.

I also notice not much love for STK. I know it has a certain "vibe" but surprised at lack of mentions. They must be telling me something....?

Of the higher end places there I only have been to jaleo and beauty and essex I dont have a huge frame of reference.

    I guess I'd rank top 4

    Zuma
    Jaleo
    Henry
    China poblano

I didn't care for beauty and essex

I'm beginning to think Sonya is right, @WelshBlonde. You're going to need about 5 reservations a day to keep up on all these recommendations. And now I want to try Zuma's. Have you narrowed it down yet?

Oh my goodness @vegasnut those photos look amazing!!

    So far guys the top 3 by vote in order is;

    1. Holsteins
    2. Henry
    3. Milos

I wish I could eat more but a) I've been on a diet for ages and wont be able to physically eat as much as I want :hmmm: b) I'm chubby enough :wiggle:

So I will be having a buffet at some point, unsure which meal yet. I have Sterling Brunch on the morning of check in, so I imagine lunch will not be needed so that leaves 1 meal for dinner on day 1, then 3 meals on day 2 and finally a breakfast/brunch on check out day.

So I have 2 dinners, 1 lunch and 2 breakfasts/brunches to do, and one of these will be a buffet.

@WelshBlonde you look fabulous so be proud of who you are and how you look (i bet your hubby agrees with me!!)......i dont see whats so great about the sterling brunch at ballys i never did it(dont like champagne and seafood so ) and i thought ( i think thats only on sundays right?) i have done most buffets(rio/flamingo/caesars/PH/Harrahs/Wynn/Bellagio) and hands down the best is the bacchanal at caesars(and still is!!!..also the most expensive!!!) so if you dont mind paying over 50$ than do the caesars buffet.....btw i see you stay 21 days i beat you by half a day :woohoo::lock:

Milos lunch tasting menu is great, and that's when I'd go since a lot of the other options aren't open for lunch. But they do also have a dinner tasting menu from like 5:00-6:30.

Congrats on the diet! With that in mind, just be warned that a burger + boozy shake at Holstein's will be somewhere in the vicinity of, oh, six thousand calories. :poke:

I am a big fan of STK - I rank it a notch or two below SW , Cut, Prime etc but my last two visits there have been outstanding

I will offer a (probably) unpopular opinion: Henry should not be in the top 3. Nothing wrong with it. Its fine. But its just a cafe. There is nothing special about the food there. At a property with a lot of good options, I would try other places first

Those boozy shakes are a one-way ticket straight to bed for everyone I've ever seen consume one. One of the primary ingredients is canned frosting. :yuck:

Last time there, I had their ahi sliders and shared some sweet potato fries with a dry cider.
