    BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Nope... although, early in my craft, did some... here it comes 'organoleptic' tasting. Translation: We would sample Butter in the parchment days, to see if it had gone skunky. I mostly worked (with accompanying enforcement up to Prosecution) in the Retail Food sector- meaning, Restaurants, Food Stores, Butchers & Bakeries.

I loved the individual freedom of invariable going to different biz every day, without anyone looking over your shoulder. To answer any further questions- generally alone and almost NEVER pre-announced!

Customers used to frequently mistake me as a store employee. To which, I would say: " Madam, I don't work for X. I work for YOU & I'm one of the last, living breathing inspectors you have here- so treat me nicely! " And, that is no shite. Virtually, nobody from my original group is getting replaced!

What I actually do these days is invent ways for computers to recognize bones in xray images.

Attorney. I’m at a big firm and my practice is transactional (meaning I negotiate and document deals; I don’t go to court).

lol, back when I practiced more, I knew several of the attorneys at the firm Grisham based his early novels on. Nothing nearly as exciting as a Grisham novel ever happened to any of us!

Freelance writer, golf and travel, and now writing more about bicycling. It's really a catch-all for "lifestyle" stuff 'cause it also could be about food or spa. I've been writing regularly for Alaska Airlines' inflight magazine for nearly 18 years ... wow, where did the time go? I'm a regular contributor to the Sunday Los Angeles Times Travel section. I write a column/think piece for the Southern California section of the USGA and handle equipment for the metro NYC section of the USGA. Other clients include national and regional golf publications, AAA magazines, the PGA of America and a few regional lifestyle mags. I've written three Las Vegas travel guidebooks, one on the Palm Springs area and co-edited a Zagat guide; I'm done with the book thing. I do occasional piece/contract work for a few tourism/CVA-type outfits.

My motto long ago became: "I'm paid poorly to lead an extravagant lifestyle."
