    Advantages:
    • No resort fees vs $30+ a night
    • Diamound lounge free food & drink vs ____________
    • Affordable hotels mid-strip

I was MLife my first 8 Vegas years but the last 2 earned diamond and slowly switching over. I love a 5 night stay (even if paying for some nights) and avoiding $150-$180 fees off the top. Add in free booze 7 days a week in the diamond lounge plus a mediocre quick meal or snack offered...I've done alright for myself.

I like all of the hotels and maybe even the MGM properties slightly more but I do just enough to earn my Gold but put more emphasis on ensuring 25k Diamond.

I'm a late move over while I read many players are leaving TR because the nickel and diming 15k-25k gap and offering less comps.

I recently did the tier match to diamond for CET and have also considered moving some play over there, unfortunately i probably wont be able to put much play over there as i only have one trip left this year . The one thing i wish Mlife would do though is waive resort fees for platinum players, sure sometimes its comped up front or can be taken off the back end, but it could entice others to book an extra trip if they know they wont pay.

I like the MGM properties (Mandalay Bay, Aria, Bellagio, Mirage, MGM Grand), and I love the variety of restaurants and theater at M-Life. But I get more value from Total Rewards, a lot more.

This sums it up well for me too. MLife's hotels/resorts seem to be in another league from TR. But there's more comps and benefits to having the TR Diamond status.

Isn’t Diamond to Platinum the better comparison? Platinum doesn’t get you much more benefit than gold anyway, just saying. The MLife properties just appeal to me much more than TR. I don’t pay resort fees and get the benefits that go with the fees. I’d be annoyed as a diamond TR player to not have free WiFi in room and not have free access to their on site gyms. Do I understand that correctly that when the fees are waived you don’t get the amenities?

I am a TR diamond and I have never paid for the wifi that I get in my free resort fee rooms. Maybe they are comping it off, but they never charge me.

As a TR Diamond, you still get the resort fee amenities without paying the resort fees.

MLife comp room availability is much more consistent vs cet .. Weekend comp rooms are almost always available for mLife offers... Cet varies - nicer properties like CP and Cromwell rarely have truly free weekends for me as a diamond .

    What I found is:
    • The same amount of average daily play (on slots) gets me offers/availability that have about the same amount of total value from both MLife and CET
    • Overall, CET's rooms are cheaper, so you can get more room nights out of them for the same amount of play. You do have to be willing to step a small notch down in property quality.
    • Mlife offers bundle freeplay and resort credit whereas CET has bundles but also lets you book straight up comp nights with no throw-ins, which can make a difference at lower play levels
    • Because of the daily TC bonuses and all the other TC promotions they do, CET gives me a fair (easy even) shot at reaching Diamond and getting the resort fee waived, whereas MLife is cutting way back on who they'll waive them for
    • On my very specific budget, if I had to choose between them, I'd choose CET, because I can get more nights and no resort fee and I'm OK with the property quality I can get
    • Never put all your comp eggs in one basket if you can help it. If you do short trips, stay at CET one trip, next trip, stay at MLife. Now you have a choice for at least a year or two.
    • The difference between Diamond 15k and 25k for lounge access is 10,000 TCs; that's a minimum of $20,000 coin-in on slots and an expected loss of probably at least $2,000 (and much more likely $3,000+) - keep that in mind when you assess the value of Diamond Lounge access if you're comfortably a 15k+ TC player but you're thinking of gunning for 25k.

I moved from Wynn to Mlife, now to CET.
as long as the room is decent, like those of Caesars Palace, or renovated room at Paris, I don't care too much.
Wynn's Tower Suite is nice, but I only sleep less than 2 hours per night there, doesn't really matter.
And I never ever used any other services/amenities offered by any hotel.

While in Vegas this week, we took CET up on their Platinum to Diamond match. We spend considerable amount of money 1-2 trips per year, basically all at mlife properties. We get little in terms of comps, and suspected for the same spend at CET we would get more. We will see.

I will say right after signing up for Diamond at Paris we went to eat at the buffet, our favorite in Vegas, and we were surprised when the waiter told us we all received a complimentary drink with our meal as Diamond members. A simple little thing like that--Mlife would never do that.

TR and MLife aren't my primary rewards program, since Boyd gets a larger percentage of my play. Although, I'm platinum with TR, since I play at my local casinos fairly often. I haven't given their Vegas properties much play, so I haven't received any comp room offers in ages, only discounted rates with isn't worth the cost when you add on the resort fees.

With minimal play in Vegas and using the MLife MC, I get better offers from MLife than TR for their Vegas properties. Although, I recently found out that when a MLife comp room offer says "For Up To X number of nights", it doesn't mean that they will give you the max number of nights for free. So, you may end up paying for those additional nights.

I voted MLife for pretty much one reason.
Their properties are where I want to spend my vacation time in Las Vegas.

I was exclusivelyTR/CET for a long time and for a couple reasons moved to MLife about 10+ years ago.
The offers I get are similar ,I’m still Diamond at CET, but really prefer the MLife hotels.
Agree with Chuck’s point of don’t put all your comp eggs in one basket.
Don’t fall in love with one hotel or company.
There will be a day that you will be unhappy about something and having an alternative is important.
Been to Aria three times this year but have a trip scheduled to CP in November.
That should be enough to secure diamond for another year.

This is true for me as well. I prefer TR to MLife as well. My offers are minimal from MLife; I used to stay at Mandalay Bay/Delano, but the offers from TR are much better than MLife. Just my personal experience.

Thanks for the correction from you TR players. That never made sense to me, but I thought that’s what they did.

    I forgot to mention...

TR gives rewards credit for table play. I'm mainly BJ and Craps so that has added up huge.

MLife gives $0 Express comps for table play (only slots).

Not only are you paying resort fees, no diamond lounge, you're not even earning express comps to pay off some of these fees while at the table. It's amazing to see MLife moving backwards in that area but as I read above, it must be justifiable because many of us still play there because we enjoy the properties.

The MGM properties are nicer. CET gives you more benefits. Take your pick.

This hits the key differences for me as a table player only (blackjack specifically). Diamond at TR =

    - No Resort Fees every trip
    - Unlimited access to free rooms in effectively every city at all times
    - Always earning comps for all my play, even if at a slow rate
    - Lesser offers than Mlife for free play/resort credit, but much more from a free show, free cruise, + smaller free play offer perspective.

I like being able to bolt to Vegas anytime I want, with no notice, and know that I always have a room at the Cromwell available with no resort fees.

Being able to book a room wherever and whenever I want is my favorite part, too. Also, mLife properties are great, but how much better are they really? They're no Wynn property. So, if you're going to spend the extra coin, I'd rather just go full on Wynn versus the mLife properties.

Side note. I give Borgata a little crap because it really is MLife in name only (heck, to use ECs in Vegas you have to convert them), but the benefit is you do earn ECs at the tables, which is huge for me. Grid pointed out benefits in slot play there in a few posts also, but the only other negative is you earn zilch for resort spend. CET has plenty of issues, but earning is the same across the board.
