hi. I’d like to get recommendations for a lounge on a high floor that has great view of the strip. Preferably cover charge free and line free, and not too loud (not looking for loud nightclub) .
    Any recommendations?

Mandarin Bar or Skyfall lounge immediately come to mind.

My first response was going to be Mandarin Bar, but multiple people beat me to it.

My second response would be Top of the World @ Stratosphere ... no cover charge if you have a reservation and go up that way... they have a full bar... and you can dine too.

I love rooftop/high view bars. IMO the Foundation Room at Mandalay Bay has the best view but it’s hit or miss on whether they’ll have a cover, dress code, etc.

I think Skyfall is the old Mix at Delano, which is a great view as well- but I do believe it gets a little louder later at night.

Mandarin Bar is very swanky from what I recall. Whatever you might spend on a cover plus drinks elsewhere, you’ll probably spend just on drinks there. The view is phenomenal but you’re also behind glass with a roof over your head. To me that is a negative, but to others it may be a positive.

My favorite is Voodoo lounge atop Rio because I know that when it’s 105+ degrees in the summer, I can still go up there in a pair of shorts and hang out. It gives a you a great view of the strip and the valley as a whole in an open air setting. I enjoy seeing everything quietly twinkle. Time seemingly stands still, whereas in a bustling casino you can lose 3 hours in what feels like 5 minutes.

I notice under a lot of posts, you have a banner with a picture of a vegas hotel and a countdown. Is this for when you’re going and where you’re staying? How do i get one of those under my posts.?

Has anyone been to the one @ the Strato when there's actually a decent crowd? I've been there about 5 times and it's always pretty empty.

Went for the midnight HH once and was dead and thought to myself how in the hell is it like a Applebees at 3pm with this view. Then it hit me where i was. Hopefully that part of town is cleaned up(gentrified) in the near future

Well now that I see you are at Orleans I say double plus Voodoo Lounge. Free shuttle to Gold Coast, walk across the street to Rio, use the cross walk. Or, if you are more of a club money person, Ghost Bar at Palms. So I’ve been told.

That's right. I rarely go on that side of the strip, unless it's to DT.

Foundation room at MB. Or Skyfall at Delano. But for me best at MB...(not that I've stayed there since 03)...I just brought my son and his buddy down couple weeks back and took them to Foundation room for their first time. Usually they've been down with me during EDC so never had time to enjoy the finer views in life. In Awe..they were. We watched the sunset, the outside dim, and they agree. Best view in Vegas. (only other comparable to me is Cosmo wraps).

You were all right. Mandarin Bar was a very nice classy place. Excellent view of the strip. Next time I’ll try Skyfall Lounge. :)
