    My Trip Report

Hell's Kitchen was one of the big reasons for our last Vegas Vacation with our favorite vacation buddies. It opened in Las Vegas at Caesars Palace early this year. Our friend is a big fan of the show so we decided...why not...any reason to go to Las Vegas works for me. I made reservations as soon as they opened and had no trouble finding the date and time we wanted a couple months down the road. When we arrived, it was easy peasy getting in, really no wait at all and we were seated by very polite staff. Our server was Carlos and he was awesome. He made sure we were comfortable, had what we needed and made arrangements for us to have a quick meet with the Head Chef and get a picture.

Carlos started us off with a little appetizer, which I can only guess was supposed to cleanse the pallet. Amuse Bouche, or in laymans terms, baby watermelon chunks with some basil and Hell's Kitchen magic. It was surprisingly delicious. Between the 4 of us we loaded the table with Lobster Risotto, Shrimp Cocktail, Beef Wellington, Wagyu Meatballs and New York Strip. Yes we even ended with the famous Sticky Toffee Pudding....delicious but oh so rich. See that cute little watermelon appetizer..Amuse Bouche...it was good!

Everything was so good and man were we STUFFED! If you are a fan of the show or a foodie in general make sure to add this place to your list when you visit Las Vegas. Make sure you budget ahead of time for this meal. It is not an inexpensive dining experience, but it was well worth it.

We added a couple other spots on our list for must have meals this trip. We went again to Nine Fine Irishmen in New York New York. ( I am a reservation fan, standing in line for awhile to get a table isn't really my thing so once we had decided this was where we wanted to go I pulled out my handy dandy smartphone and a quick reservation was made.) We were able to get right in for dinner. We went for some Shepherds Pie and Bangers and Mash. We also had some cheesy dip that was awesome, unfortunately I can't remember the name of it...but make sure you order it for an appetizer.

So....In the title of this blog, I eluded to a secret or two...I try out deals I find to see if and how they work and sometimes it works out great...other times not so much...For NFI, I would highly suggest utilizing your Mlife benefits and getting the vouchers for your meal. For this particular dinner we had $140 off our bill total. Want to know more about that??? Shoot me a message and we will chat. Easy Peasy and the Mlife benefits are probably my best Las Vegas secret for great deals.

As usual, we are always on the hunt for the most awesome Bloody Mary when we are in Las Vegas. This trip took us to Guy Fieri Kitchen at the Linq. Before our trip I saw a random Facebook post with this lady making a very elaborate Bloody Mary. That was all it took...we had to try it out. It was 52oz of everything but the kitchen sink. What a show stopper moment when they brought it to the table, 4 straws thankfully. There were several appetizers for us all in the glass which made for a very interesting adventure. I will be honest...taste wise, it wasn't necessarily one of the best tasting we have ever had, however, we give it 5 stars on the coolness scale. If you want to give it a try it's about $40.
    [IMG]SMLXL
    upload_2018-7-17_21-38-7.gif
Guy Fieri Kitchen is also the home of the super cheesy award winning Mac & Cheese Burger. I believe the picture below pretty much sums that up.....

    upload_2018-7-17_21-38-7.gif
We had some other great stuff there too. Once again we snacked on the Trash Can Nachos. Love the chips and sauce is delicious. I will be honest. I can't remember what this other sandwich was called but it was really good.

Other food highlights...well...We decided to use some of our resort credit at Buca Di Beppo. I don't care what anybody says...these mushrooms are MAGIC! We also tried a sangria...LOVED..LOVED.. it was so good. This was our second time at Buca Di Beppo, it was fabulous...the portions are huge so watch out when you are ordering. Will definitely go back there again.

Want to know one of the best breakfast deals on the strip in my opinion??????
LA SALSA CANTINA......MIRACLE MILE...seriously $4.79 breakfast and $.99 Bloody Mary..finally a meal that doesn't bust your gut or break the bank. It is delicious every time. Hint...don't go for the double bloody mary for $1.99....not worth it...it just didn't taste the same..I am not saying it's the worlds best Bloody Mary, but I am saying it's pretty great after a night out in Vegas for $.99.
Add this place to your list...Everyone should go here at least once.

So about now you are probably asking...did you do anything but eat???

You know we did...let's see...the most surprising show this trip was The Righteous Brothers...Yes, I know unfortunately one of them is no longer with us. The show is Bill Medley and the awesome Bucky Heard. We go that Lovin' Feelin' all night long. Absolutely loved this show. We purchased the tickets through Groupon and it was a great choice. If you get a chance go see this show.

    upload_2018-7-17_21-38-7.gif

We saw Zumanity this time. First time seeing this show. I'll admit we had no idea what we were walking into. It was lively and spectacular. Surprisingly, we enjoyed it very much. Best part...got the tickets for FREE....thank you Mlife...Again...if you want more information on that just shoot me a message.

We found out that if you go to the desk at Harrah's and ask about Mac King tickets there is a possibility you will get a great deal. For the cost of four drinks, one each, we for 4 tickets to Mac King free...worked for me...we were in Vegas so you know drinking was on the list of activities. Turns out Mac King is a magical comedy show. We really enjoyed our time there. It's a great afternoon activity to keep you from throwing money at the slots for awhile and theater is air conditioned.

If you are thinking about venturing over to Top Golf, my recommendation is DO IT! Mu husband is a golfer...me, not so much, but we had two free draft beers at Top Golf so we took the opportunity to check it out. ( FYI...this is another shoot me a message if you want to know how to get the two free draft beers) We took the long way around through the pool, which by the way...BUSY..BUSY place. I guess there is a shuttle from MGM too. Next time I would probably use that instead of walking across the parking lot. The place is huge and has a very friendly staff. I will admit that things didn't go quite as smoothly as I had hoped redeeming our two free beers but in the end it was really no big deal. To redeem it said to go upstairs to the Birdie Bar, we did and they had no clue what we were talking about but they took our vouchers and said they would figure it out and they were very pleasant about it. We will be headed back there to try a little golf as soon as we can work it in.

Tipsy Robot anyone....Um...YES...I am not listing this as one of the great Las Vegas "deals". Legitimately it was like $15 or more a drink..however, I was in Las Vegas and I did get a drink from a Robot..well, sort of.. there was a human really working to make sure everything went where and how it was supposed to...BUT...I did get a very strong, pretty darn delicious Grey Goose and Cranberry from my little Robot friend. I am very happy I tried it once and have a cool picture...Don't need to ever do it again but at least it's something I can cross off of my Las Vegas list.

Xavier Mortimer was also another great way to spend some time without gambling or sweating walking up and down the strip. We really enjoyed this show and would recommend it.

This trip we did the Titanic Museum. Loved it. So historic and interesting. What a very sad moment in time. On the flip side the staircase is beautiful and my husband enjoyed our photo op.

I was really excited to see Inferno at Paris ( does anyone else get lost and all turned around in that place or is it just me??). I will be honest, the best part of the show was the drink that my husband got. It was seriously loaded. I am not saying the Inferno show was bad, it was just not at all what I was expecting with all of the hype around it. I left there very disappointed.

Make sure if you get in the area of Harrah's and Carnival Court you stop in for a Fickle Dip and take a listen to Big Elvis. The man is amazing and I could listen to him for hours. There is a whole story about him out there. I won't get into that, just saying it's well worth stopping and checking out.

Gambling...Ya....not such a big win trip. I went above and beyond with Vacation... I mean it's Chevy Chase right??? Those suitcases have to come down eventually don't they? Not so much. My husband talked me into trying it again the next day and I am happy to say at least I did win something...although not quite what I had put in. I finally gave up and started playing wierd random slots and finally won a few dollars but more than that I had a great time. I know winning is rare, I just like to get some fun bonuses and play out of my money sometimes.

I can confirm that the coupons from the American Casino Guide and Las Vegas Trip Advisor do work. We used the B1G1 at American Bar and the B1G1 at Margaritaville. No issues...no problems.

We always do something different one each Las Vegas trip, but, the one thing I always try to do it hit the Bellagio Fountain. I absolutely love that thing.

Fremont street was on the list but honestly we did not stay long. The overwhelming smell of marijuana and the bum literally washing his junk in the bathroom turned us off significantly. We have always loved Fremont but may stay away until it rebuilds the torn down Casinos and maybe cleans up it's act a but. I know not everyone will agree with me...That's ok.

Everyone does Las Vegas their own way.. I hope you enjoyed the shenanigans of our last trip.

We once again used Presidential Limo. Won't use anyone else. I love that they meet us at baggage claim, make a stop at the liquor store and are always there to take us back to the airport at the end of the trip while we lick our losing wounds.

I'd recommend the tasting experience. I forget what it was called but it had all the specialties, including the sticky toffee pudding, they also serve you wine paired with each course. No way around it, there is just plain a lot of food! It is delicious though.

How was the beef Wellington at HK? I’ve never had it, but I’ve heard rave reviews about it.
