I'm Leaving On A Jet Plane!! I DO Know When I'll Be Back Again!! May 14-18, 2018

Sorry it took me so long to get to this trip report. This report is for the trip I took to Las Vegas May 14-18, 2018. A solo trip. I'll do with this report what I've done with previous reports, one post = one day.

Day #1: May 14, 2018. Monday

My plane took off from Houston at 6am. Almost a full flight. Plane landed in Las Vegas at 6.49am. I checked in to the MGM Grand at 7:40am. I was not able to go to my room. I checked my bag. Breakfast was at the buffet at the Bellagio. 8:37am. Good food. Needs more sweets.

At 10am I went to the Bellagio's Gallery of Fine Arts. Turns out it was closed until June 29. That upset me because the casino's website said it would be open while I was in town.

I then went to the Bellagio Conservatory. 10:26am.

I took the tram from the Bellagio to the Monte Carlo (Park MGM or whatever it's called now). That casino's pool area has reopened.

I got a text from the MGM Grand saying that my room was ready. I made it there at 12:15pm. Grand King room. Had a decent view.

For dinner I ate at Hussong's Cantina. (Mandalay Bay) 5:40pm. I had three chicken enchiladas, rice, & beans. Chips & salsa as well. All good.

I made it down to the Fremont Street Experience at 7:54pm. I watched a light show.



I also watched some dancing people, dancing DJs, & dancing bartenders.





















I left at 9:15pm. I made it back to my room at 10:07pm.

Day #2: May 15, 2018. Tuesday:

I woke up at 6:30am. Got ready for the day. For breakfast I ate at the Aria buffet. 8:30am. It was better than my previous visit. Not a wide selection of food, but there were a lot of sweets. I then went to the Mob Museum. 11:19am. I've been to the museum before. It's a great place to visit.

I then went to the Ultimate Sports Cards store at the Fremont Street Experience. 2:31pm. First time there. Collecting cards is a hobby of mine. I didn't buy anything.

I made it back to my room at 4:28pm.

For dinner I ate at Black Tap Burger inside the Venetian. 6:30pm. I had the Mexican City burger & fries. It was good. But, the highlight of the meal was the Cookies 'N Cream Crazy Shake.

It was very good. The shake cost $15. Well worth it!!!

Day #3. May 16, 2018. Wednesday:

I woke up at 6:06am & got ready for the day. For breakfast I ate at the Luxor's buffet. I got there at 8:30am, but I wasn't able to sit until 9am. There was a long line to get in. This was my third time eating there. Good food. Ate too much. As I was leaving I took a few pictures.

I then went to the Titanic Exhibit. 10:56am. It's in the Luxor. I've been to the exhibit before. My previous visit was a few years ago. Great place to visit.

I then made my way to the Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay. When I was starting to get close to the reef I walked past at least a few hundred Dominos Pizza employees. They were there for a convention. The employees were from all over the world. What surprised & disappointed me was the fact that NOT one of them had any pizza!!! Not one slice!!! SHAME!!!

Anyway, I got to the Shark Reed at 1:33pm.

For dinner I ate at Buddy V's inside the Venetian. 7:19pm. I had spaghetti & meatballs. Very good.

I woke up at 6:52am & got ready for the day. For breakfast I ate at the Cravings buffet inside the Mirage. 8:50am. Good food & good selection.

I the went to Madame Tussauds at the Venetian. 10:35am.

I went to the MGM Garden Arena. The Arena was going to host the Billboard Music Awards the upcoming weekend. I could only walk around the front part.

I saw Pete Rose at a memorabilia store inside the MGM Grand. He was there to sign autographs.

I then made my way to the ass end.... I mean north end of the Strip.

It's good to see that people care & look out for others. Helping people get jobs......

I made my way to Circus Circus. 2:12pm.

I watched a clown act.


I also watched a high wire act.


I made it back to my room to rest. 3:25pm.

For dinner I ate at Grimaldi's inside the Palazzo. I had pizza called The Don. It had pepperoni, sausage, & meatballs. Very, very good!!! Best pizza I've had in Las Vegas.

Day #5, Friday, May 18, 2018 (Going Home Day):

I woke up at 6:24am. For breakfast I ate at the MGM Grand's buffet. 7:15am. It was the buffet's "weekend gourmet brunch". Not exactly gourmet, but I thought the selection & quality was better than previous visits. I went back to my room, got ready for the day, & checked out. My plane was leaving late. I checked my bag & then wondered around the Strip taking pictures. My first stop was at the Flamingo habitat. 11am.

I got picked up for the airport at about 4pm. My plane took off on time. I made it home safe & sound. I already have my next Las Vegas trip booked & planned for the middle of December. I'll be staying at the Mirage in one its 'Strip View' rooms.
