So I’ll be in Vegas next Sunday for he WC final. Being English I guess we’ve got a 50/50 chance of playing :D

Will bars be charging to watch the match? I know most bars will do a viewing party for UFC/Boxing PPVs etc but didn’t know if this was the same for the WC final.

If so how much do you expect them to charge? Would this purely be for entry or would it also be a free bar?

I have no idea if there will be viewing parties along the strip but I wouldn't pay to get in anywhere just to watch - the game is on free TV. All the bars and books will have it on.

No charges to see futbol in US:) you can watch it at 8am with the few who care (and/or bet on it) at any of the sports books (Cosmo my current fav) or seek out the few who really care and enjoy:

I saw the O/U dropped to 1.5 so I threw down a bit of money 5 minutes before kickoff. Too bad I didn’t take it at 2 as I would have got a better payout but I can’t complain about a win on a last minute bet.

Nice hit for me on Tuesday.. Was tempted to take France again in the final but would have had to mail the ticket in as I was leaving for the airport in the AM.Did not want to push my luck.Yes a poor reason to nix a bet I know...:)

I really enjoyed watching a lot of the World Cup this year. The early start times were actually perfect for us, as we're on Pacific Time. A lot of really good games in this tournament. My kids have played and one still plays a lot of competitive soccer, however, not at this level for sure. It took me a few years to get comfortable with the rules and calls. Yeah the flopping and acting gets a bit old, but the speed and skill really is amazing. I also enjoy the start of each game when the kids come out on the field with the players for their respective national anthems. The pride each nation and their fans demonstrate for their own country really shines through at events like this and the Olympics. It's cool.

I got them at 5/1 in mid-May at Harrahs Laughlin. Those were the best odds (non-online) I could find on France while I was in Nevada. I'm not complaining... that's the first time I've hit on a major futures bet!
