Trying to earn as many LPs for upcoming trip in August... Just saw that the one I wanted (Aria brunch) requires a stay... Anybody have a list of places/food that do NOT require a stay at MGM? It's a real pain to go through the terms for each one...

    I believe the 2 for 1 buffets don't have a stay requirment.

I've not see a list I'm afraid on here or the MyVegas facebook groups I'm on likely due to the T's and C's being subject to change so I think the only way would be for you to check them all sorry.

The ones that required a stay had a key icon on the lower left hand corner.

Look at the Bellagio buffet reward vs. the Mandalay Bay reward.

Most do but I think Aria does not. Need to read terms. Only takes a few minutes to go to page 2 of rewards. BOGO's do not and higher priced do not. Spend 5 minutes and read the terms, not an all afternoon task

I don't mind, but for whatever reason, MyVegas is horribly and notoriously SLOW and LAGGY on my PC. @DaiLun made it sooooo much easier by mentioning the key thing! Thanks a lot!!!

EDIT: Actually, not all of them have a key (Aria for example) which really shows the laziness of the MyVegas folk.

In the PAST, many buffets could be redeemed on weekends. Not anymore. Bummer..

The buffets that DON'T require a stay are the ones that have a higher "price"--and you typically need to snag them quickly when the rewards refresh.

MB and Mirage offer breakfast/lunch buffet rewards w/o a stay requirement for a higher purchase price...

I'm having the same problem. I'm going solo in September so all the 2 for 1 food items really do me no good. I could use some myvegas points for a free night, but then I would still get charged a resort fee and I can stay at CET with NO resort fee. So that kind of defeats the purpose of a free buffet. So far I'm not finding much use for me to continue with myvegas. Kind of a bummer because I spent a long time getting my points up. :(

Agreed. I saved up for Mirage, which is sold out for my dates :(

You still need to pay the resort fee on free rooms ?

Yep, but it is not a bad deal. The Mirage dates I want is 100something, but if I only have to pay 37 or whatever a night... That's a win.

Fees are dumb, but that's still 100something savings right there...

Technically it's not a bad deal. However, if I can stay at a CET property for comped rooms and not pay a resort fee because I am diamond, then staying at an mlife property JUST so I can get the free buffet from myvegas is totally not worth it.

I'm still watching for an mlife buffet that doesn't require a stay, and I have no problem paying for LP for it. But they always seem to be sold out :(

I've been trying to snag a "non-stay" buffet for a few weeks now but can never seem to get one before they're sold out. This might be addressed somewhere, but are the rewards still refreshing at random?

I would love to know as well if there is a certain refresh schedule.

might want to join a myvegas group on facebook. Someone almost daily report when they see a reward refresh. Always get mine.

I have noticed that 9-10am Chicago time, the rewards are almost ALWAYS there. I have not noticed a certain day, just weekdays typically.

And I decided to use the morning buffets for Aria and Mirage. May skip Mirage and try Wynn out of pocket. This way, I can try something new and exciting, including dinner/snack time. More costly, but why keep repeating myself in Vegas when there's so many new options?

To add to this thread, not sure when it went into effect but you can no longer "pay" the money half of these BOGO buffets with your express comps. I learned this the hard way earlier this year.

You could always use them in the past. My dilemma now is to pay $24.99 of MY money and get one free. Or just use $50 in express comps and pay nothing out of pocket.

These rewards keep taking a bigger shit all the time.
