in the past ive left my room as late as 3--4pm and housekeeping made up the room but if you are sleeping really late and not leaving your room until after around 6pm will housekeeping still clean your room that day? will they clean rooms at like 8 or 9pm?

Just call housekeeping when you are leaving your room and request service.
Most major hotels have housekeeping staff on into the evening.

some do, some don't. just call housekeeping, if they can't clean it that late, they usually will send up towels and toiletries.

I think most big properties can do it 24/7. A few months ago we got one night free at Pechanga, we came up to the room at about 12:30am pulled down the bed and the sheets and mattress were wet. I mean soaked, the whole room was perfectly clean and had been when we checked in at about 2pm, no leak in the ceiling etc. Anyway I called housekeeping and someone showed up within minutes with new bedding. However when she realized we hadn't spilled water or anything and the mattress was wet she called her supervisor who came right up checked it and then within about 15 minutes security, bell service and a cleaning crew came up and moved us to a full suite. I would assume that if Pechenga can muster that much housekeeping at 1am a strip property would be able too as well.

thanks guys this next trip i might have to work a few days from my room at 5am to around 9am and since i go to sleep so late in vegas anyway i will just stay up and will do a sleep schedule of something like 10am-4pm or whenever. just want to know that i can still have room serviced if i dont leave until pretty late in the day. i know at some non-vegas hotels housekeeping ends at 5 or 6pm and like vegasdev mentioned they will bring you towels and things but not a full service like they do in the daytime.

At Harrah’s they left a phone message at check-in. If you need housekeeping after 5pm, contact them.

One of the things in negotiating their lates contract was safety conditions while having a room serviced. They may send a male or an assistant.
