WRAP UP AND FINAL THOUGHTS

As I finish out this trip report, I would like to sincerely thank all of you who followed along and left so many kind words! I'm beginning to feel like VMB is making me into a Unicorn, or Super Hero, or some other larger than life creature. LOL. I promise you V and I are a pretty basic, boring couple. We must look better on paper (digital paper that is) than in real life!

So before my final thoughts, here are some final pictures.


My awesome new tiki mugs from Frankie's! I have 6 now, so I'm ready to party. The book is for my mom, but I have the same one at home. All the books sold there are autographed.


These cool balloon-like tubes filled with colored liquid were hanging at Aria. We secretly made bets whether one would break during our stay.


My tasty "Spicy Flamingo" at The Dorsey Bar at The Venetian where we met for the meet and greet before the high limit pull. Thank you @Chuck2009x for buying a round for everyone!


I mentioned this in my May trip report with the kids, but this is the perfume I switched to because it reminds me of Vegas. Smells like the inside of Crystals to be exact. It's Viktor & Rolf's Flowerbomb.


We honeymooned at The Mirage in 1999. Always fun to go back and reminisce. I thought the $200 bankroll I brought for the whole trip was HUGE then. LOL. I remember feeling like a High Roller playing a quarter Jeopardy! slot machine instead of my usual nickel coin droppers I played in the 1990s.

In no specific order, here is my takeaway from this trip:

• Two drinks is plenty at Frankie's Tiki Room.
• Bellagio is still my favorite hotel, and I love The Petrossian Bar.
• I can't wait to finish the book I started at the cabana.
• The Laundry Room was amazing. We can't wait to go back.
• My kids must be my good luck charms, I'm bringing them on my next trip.
• My gambling was pretty weak this time, and my tipping was pretty heavy. I have $1,500 left from what I brought.
• My Finger Clicker slowed the bleeding, but definitely didn't make me a winner.
• Meeting other VMBers was such a highlight of the trip.
• @Chuck2009x is an awesome organizer of group slot pulls.
• Period jokes are really funny.
• The Aria Buffet is not worth it in my opinion.
• I really missed my discontinued "Barbarella" drink at Giada's.
• V and I are ready to branch out further and try new things/places without as much repeat experiences.
• Uber is still so much easier and cheaper to use than taxis.
• Javier's is awesome and may have to stay on the repeat list.
• I found that rompers are actually pretty cool.
• I don't understand this trend for women to dye their hair a weird blue/grey/silver hue. I pay a lot of money to dye my hair to hide those colors.
• I've learned I don't have the balls to play high limit slots like @TIMSPEED (unless I'm part of a group pull).
• I forgot how big Caesars Palace is.
• I will never get a room for a friend because I can't afford a $1,000 smoke clean up fee in case they light up.
• Last time I looked, we had about 110,000 MLife tier credits. Stay Gold, Ponyboy.
• Amused to see that the "Diaper Man" is still on Fremont Street. I couldn't bear to take a picture this time.
• Kindness counts, rude people suck.
• I'm still waiting on my first handpay.

The gift you have (disclaimer -- not saying you have just the one) is not so much what you do while you're there, or dependent on whether you're exciting in real life ...

...it's that you seem to have a knack for drawing people in, to PARTICIPATE, and respond. Not just read. There are a lot of people writing interesting TR's. Some of them are more closely aligned with my own Vegas habits than yours. Yours aren't a closed loop though, they're written in a way that prompts responses, and that's pretty fun with the right sense of humor.

Of course, you can keep working on your SuperHeroUnicorn persona, maybe you'll get there. May I suggest starting with some glitter glued to a romper?

Thank you! It had been over a year since we had gotten away just the two of us, so it was very nice to have some adult time for sure! Now it's back to real life with the kiddos as we hang at my in-laws' for the week.
