    My Trip Report

Hi everyone. I've never done one of these before but had been reading a lot before our trip so I thought I'd give it a try.

My wife and I are both mid to late 20's and from Wisconsin. I'm an avid gambler and frequent the local casinos back home. I wouldn't consider me to be a High Roller but not a low roller either. My budget for this trip is right around $1,000 a day.

    Day one:

I had purchased plane tickets a while back on delta and upgraded a few weeks later to first class. Our first flight left at 7am and then a flight from Detroit to Vegas getting us here around 11:30. The flights went smooth, had way too many drinks, and the wife and I were feeling pretty good by the time we landed a little before 11. We got here early; awesome! Our bags were some of the first off the baggage claim being in 1st class to we went to level 2 for ride share and waited for our Lyft.

Our Lyft driver showed up right away and we were off. He exited at the wrong initially and we got stuck in traffic so once he turned around and go back in the high way he turned off the trip so we didn't get charged more for his error which was awesome.

Our first three nights of the trip we're at TI and the last 2 at cosmo, all comped. We've been to Vegas once before and stayed at TI. It's nothing special but a decent place. I had three free nights in a petite suite and $200 free play.

When we first got here, we tried to check in but the lady said it's only early check in and try back in a half hour. We can back around 12:40 and waited in the fairly long line and eventually checked in. I completely missed the casino invited check in line which has no one which was a bad move on my part. We tried the $20 trick to get something bigger than a petite suite but no such luck. We ended up with a petite suite facing the strip on the 26th floor

Good luck and thanks for doing a TR! Nice that you're doing two different parts of the strip, like 2 vacations in one.

Ladies getaway, somewhere on the strip with a pool :)

    Day one continued:

In that hour we couldn't check in, we went and left our bags with the bell man and went to gamble a bit. First machine we played my free play on was family feud and hit the attached picture. Next up, more free play on Fort Knox and hit the top prize. Before I knew it we were up $1,400 before I even opened my wallet! This was a huge change from last time we were here where I never won shit the entire trip.

From here we checked in, and did some walking to check out dumpy circus circus and then grabbed some food at Peppermill (delicious) and then checked out Wynn and encore. I think I dropped $500 between those two in about 45 minutes.

After that we came back to the hotel to get ready as we had tickets to Mat Franco at the linq that night. The show was wonderful and he's so good on stage. After the show we went and played a little at casino Royale, grabbed some White Castle, and then a little at TI before calling it an early night around 11 since we had been up since 4 cst.

For the day, I finished up maybe $50 since I never won anything at casino Royale or TI that night.

Today we don't have much planned so we'll see what it brings. May try Nacho Daddies for lunch. Tonight we have reservations for Cut at 7.

Today's gambling should consist of TI, mirage, caesars and tonight Venetian /Palazzo

Sorry the week got away from me. Cosmo was wonderful. Met with a host this morning and now has a dedicated one to go to anytime I need anything. I got all our food comped off our bill, a decent amount we spent in the souvenir store, and arranged a chauffeur to drive us to the airport. It was awesome. Our Theo was somewhat high but no where near high roller

Sounds like a fun trip, would definitely read more if you get around to writing about it. I’m at the Cosmo starting Friday. What status did you get to?

I'm going to sum up the rest of the trip..

Tuesday we rented a car from the Dollar inside TI and went to the hoover dam. It was a pretty cool place. We also used the car to stop at a number of off strip casinos as I like to check them out and also try to find old games.. We stopped at probably 5 or so in Henderson alone; most were dives and not much to offer. What I did notice though was every one of them, my wife got carded when we were playing. Never once on the strip did she get carded. The best off strip casinos we went to were Aliante and Santa fe station. A good selection of older games and new. We ate at Aliante and for signing up I got a spin of the wheel and won a buy one get one buffet so our lunch cost is $10 total.

That night we went to Fremont. We technically had the car through the next day but ubered to Fremont just because it was easier. We did some people watching and gambling and didn't win anything. We went back to TI and gambled a bit before calling it a night

Wednesday was the 4th and we didn't have much planned other than the Mandalay Bay fireworks/reggae concert that night. We walked around quite a bit, checked out of TI and took an uber to cosmo around 11. Checked in right away (used the invited like which was empty compared to probably 100 people in the regular line) and was able to get our room right away. We walked down to Mandalay bay and played there for a bit (one of the only casinos that still has slotsky) and headed to the area where the concert was. The line was at least 500 deep so we decided to skip the event even though we paid for tickets and headed back to cosmo and watched fireworks from our balcony. After we went down to the casino and gambled for hours. After racking up nearly 8,000 points for the night, I was only down like $500 for the night at cosmo and called it a night after getting pizza from hidden pizza.

Thursday we slept in, got eggslut (the line was crazy long but moved quick), headed to the pool around10:30 and hung out there until about 2 before we got ready for the day. We headed to Paris and PH and played a little and lost a bunch and decided to eat at Cabo wabo. Cool place, but nothing special. That night we had tickets to Mariah Carey at caesars. It turned out to be a pretty good show. After, we went back to cosmo to play for the night. I went through like $1500 and only got about 2 hours of play time and very few wins so didn't earn much at all for points that night.

Friday we had check out set at 12 and I went down to meet a host around 10:30. We waited a bit since there were two others in front of me, but once we met ours she was extremely nice. We got our food bill comped, resort fees were already comped, and she asked if we wanted to do anything else before leaving but we had already just gotten breakfast at wicked spoon an hour earlier. We went to the gift shop and bought $100 bucks worth of stuff and headed back to our room to pack up for our 12:30 departure from our chauffeur she set up for us. 12:30 I got a text that he was outside in a black escalade and we were off to the airport. I texted our host and she wiped out the rest of our hotel bill.

Check in was a breeze as we were sky priority since we were in first class with Delta and two uneventful flights and we were home.
