I started playing MyVegas spring 2013, about a year after launch. I did buy $39 worth of chips when rumors began that the "prices" of rewards were about to go up & I was playing for 2 Zumanity tickets for an upcoming trip. I established that $39 package would get us JUST what we needed to get those tickets (packages included gold chips then). So $39 was cheap for 2 tickets--and prices DID go up soon thereafter. I later bought $19 package which got me to 4 MGM rewards every 30 days. DH gets 3. We go to Vegas about 2-4 times/yr for about 20 days total.

In 5 years we have seen Fantasy, Love & Zumanity several times each in addition to Zarkana. We have stayed at Aria 2 different times for 2 nights, as well as Luxor & Mirage. We have had MANY MANY free meals...and quite a few BOGO as well. I have figured we have gotten well over $2500 worth of value from MyVegas.

But we are CET loyalists with Horseshoe /Harrahs an hour away (Ameristar was late joining MLife; plus they have no poker & very little video poker, our games of choice). SO over time, that limited our choices. AND over time...choices have just gotten more limited.

For our 7 day trip in 2 weeks, DH has $25 freeplay (MyKonami) at each Bellagio, Aria & Mirage. I have BOGO brunch buffets at those 3 resorts plus $35 at NFI. Still close to $200 value if we use them all. (DH also has $35 at NFI--$35 isn't quite enough, $70 is too much, so we shall see what he uses)

    Cheers while it lasts!

(last summer DH had enough gold coins to get a 5 day Carnival cruise. I LITERALLY sat at my computer ALL DAY refreshing...then around 5PM the site crashed. I was PISSED. Walked away...DUMMY ME--it ended up being the refresh & I missed it! And of course "prices" went up, and earning gold chips has slowed way down...then the cruises disappeared. SHOOT!)

I completely agree with you. Have received thousands of dollars in value from them over the years, still manage a couple hundred every trip, and I've always expected the "freebie" part of the party will eventually come to an end. From the casino's perspective, the value of this game is to get people in the door to spend money. As long as you're willing to do that rather than simply hold out for free shit, there's still significant value in the game and probably will be indefinitely.

Agreed, still find value in it. Free booze at duelling pianos, a couple of buffets, monorail tickets, free drinks at Hex, etc. Always find value to add to what we already like doing in Vegas - just for pushing a few buttons!! Enjoy your trip

Snap! $75 free play, Comp rooms worth $150-300 and then buffets worth $40 each time I have gone.

I'm going to go for the mykonami FP this time too plus think I may have my 5th reward unlocked by then.

In one of the facebook groups last night one of the MyVegas staff offered people who were in vegas a free tour with them on segways downtown!

    Love MyVegas!

I still get immense value. My two sisters and I each get 4 rewards and prefer to stay at MLife properties. So we definitely find a use for MyVegas with freeplay, buffets, drinks, NFI, Public House, various Wolfgang eats, monorail on occasion, Cirque shows...we do quite well.

I still find some value in MyVegas.
I've spent in the $500 range since launch.
I have received at least 3 to 4 times that amount according to their suggested retail prices.
In value received vs. time/effort/dollars spent? = I reckon I'm dead even at this point.
It's a discount now, not a freebie anymore.
I wont buy packages now without LP/Gold coins.

The 2 night room rewards are still good if the dates work.
For show tickets, going to the box office on the "day of" was the best deal.
NFI $35 credit is still good on anything, including happy hour!
2 free buffets to Aria might sound nice, but nothing to do, see or gamble in Aria...... for me = not worth redeeming.

I dunno. I'll still keep it active, but I don't expect much.

I've been playing since late 2012, took my first MyVegas trip in 2013 with 4 comped nights at Mirage. I remember at check-in being nervous if this was legit or not. I figured after that trip I would probably stop playing. Fast forward 6 years, according to my spreadsheet, I've received a little over $5,000 of comps for about $60 to 70 investment. About half of my trips and on a Mlife offer... so it limits using room rewards and FreePlay (MB/Delano). But I can usually find something to do whether its Starbucks, a free drink, or a shower. It will be a sad day when it ends.

Joke's on them - when I go to Vegas, I spend plenty of money... at Cosmopolitan, cause they're the ones that understand me (I'm in Vegas to eat good food and drink good cocktails, not to gamble, and Cosmopolitan pretty much targets everything I love. :D)
