Have a great time - looks like the room I checked out of yesterday - already feeling the Vegas blues.

For dinner tonight I vote blue ribbon - only because it was on my list and never made it. Went to Rose Rabbit Lie for our Anniversary dinner and have to say - why didn't I go to this place sooner. How about Zuma or China Poblano or just a pizza slice?

Also, I have confidence in projecting that you'll exceed half-ass by the first full day there. I know I would - there are a great many people who tell me my stories are ass-whole, and I believe them.

 

Gambling started U-G-L-Y. But a nice STP run brought me back to even. And now I’ve managed to get my head above water.

Dinner was Jaleo. We did the taste of Spain or whatever their small plate tasting menu is called. Everything was very good. I didn’t do great with the pics...

Standouts were the salmon and crab-stuffed piquillo peppers (not pictured). Also the gin and tonic is as good as you’ll have.

 

Five hundy by midnight!

Gambling has been all over the place - crazy streaks in both directions. But I’m up exactly $500, I have this view outside my bedroom,

and the weather could not be more perfect. Pretty hard to complain!

I think I’m just going to have a cocktail or two and enjoy the terrace for the rest of the evening.

On the docket for tomorrow is Wicked Spoon for brunch, steak for dinner and hopefully some big wins and interesting shit to post.

 

Glad I saw this, you know I'll be following! Nice to see you've had a couple of good hits but I know $5 VP can go up and down pretty quickly...I see you're still addicted to DDB

It's a good thing SW didn't put that in his hotel when he still owned it... they'd be nailing him to the cross so some underlying message or meaning...

Are you in the Boulevard or Chelsea tower? It looks like Blvd. I am staying for the first time next week and I am not sure what tower I should request.

Jaleo looks delicious, @thecarve !! That's always my go-to for the lunch special. I love the croquetas de pollo.

I doubt it. I try to stay away from Wynn when I’m not staying there so I don’t dilute my comps.

I’m in the Boulevard Tower. It’s closer to the strip so you get a better view but you also get more noise from the strip. The fountain views from the Chelsea tower are still great though. And I actually slightly prefer being on that side of the hotel. You’ll be fine whichever one you get.

 

Not having much luck today. Blew the winnings and then some before breakfast. And now my room is having all sorts of issues. I can’t get the temp below 73. Neither TV is working (both did last night). The minibar makes an awful racket unless the door is open and when trying to call the front desk about the issues, I found that the phone wasn’t working either (it did yesterday). Worst part is I can’t switch rooms until tomorrow.
