I love this place. It’s so old school it ain’t funny. It’s a bar with gambling and really decent cheap food. When I first came to Vegas we’d start at the Barbary Coast then slide into Bourbon street , then the stage door and walk to the Maxim then cross the street and hit up Ellis Island . Drinking and just having a blast. Love it.

Holy shit... that’s, like, the oldest of all old school trip reports. Love it.

Odelay77, thanks for making me feel like I’m 100. Sad part about it that was only about 20 years ago.

I went in last week to try it out for a beer, nice bar cheap cold drinks, looked like a real locals bar.

The only thing that let it down was the toilets ,they were very bad ,filthy ,l finished my beer and left because of them.

Also Holy Shit, I hit my first Royal at Barbary Coast, stayed at Harrah’s and stocked the room from the Stage Door grocery. I stayed one night at Bourbon Street, arrived at 11 pm and was assigned to an occupied room. My willingness to end the desk clerk’s life earned me a ‘suite’.

Exactly. Well said. It is more fun in the day time than should be legally allowed. It can get a bit dodgy at night but during the day time it is insane fun. I have hit two Royal Flushes at their bar tops but that is not the reason I love it.

One does not enter the realm of Stage Door for "pay tables". One enters for the experience. I believe DDBP is a lousy 7/5. They used to be 6/5 but the Royal started at $1500. As far as I know they don't have those progressive Royals anymore but I did hit two of them in two consecutive trips about 2 years ago.

They will even bring you pizza to the bar tops. I put that in the category of "Things You Won't See at the Bellagio"

Very much looking forward to hitting this place up over Labor Day weekend!

Cheap booze, dive bar, 80’s metal? Yes, please...

I've made that walk as well back in the day. The Prime Rib special at Barbary Coast was actually decent, IMO.

The Victorian Room at the Barbary Coast was one of the greatest casino coffee shops of all times. I’ve eaten there countless times over the years. Everything from the Prime rib to the graveyard specials and the Chinese food was very good . I really miss that place

Barbary Coast graveyard specials were the best!

When I saw this thread pop up again, the lyrics to The Patty Duke Show came to mind.

"Our Patty likes to rock 'n roll
A hotdog makes her lose control".....seems fitting :p

Good thing with the Stage Door is they card almost everyone after a certain time of day. Even my 83 year old dad. It made his day!
