what are some good ones for an anniversary dinner? Looking for something nice, but doesn’t have to be a $300 meal for two. Any ideas?

I'm a big fan of Sinatra at Encore. Fancy Italian food, classy Sinatra-esque music, and I recommend you order the Filet Special (it's usually not on the menu).... and the Caprese Salad to start.

I second Sinatra, but have the pork chop (also not on the menu) and start with the caprese!

Why aren’t those things on the menu?

I always do that...look at the menu and then order something NOT on it. Actually, I didn't even know people do that. Why print a menu? Oh, I think Hugo's in the 4 Queens is a very romantic atmosphere and a great value for very good steaks...if you happen to be looking downtown.

Where are you staying? I am big on eating at or near where you are staying to avoid the transportation hassles which can take away from the "occasion"?

What sort of places do you normally eat at?
Do you have other plans that evening? Show?

they say that they are "Specials of the day/week " but I've had the pork chop 3 times, in two different years, pretty long running special if you ask me! The waiter will say " our specials today are the blah blah blah, the porkchop in a blah blah blah sauce " . When the waiter comes back asking what I would like to order I don't just say " you know what? Why don't you fry me up a pork chop, you know, the way Frank would eat a pork chop!"

Really a nice Italian restaurant is Martorano's at Paris excellent Sunday gravy (red sauce) and a nice menu steak houses you could try BLT (Bally's) or Gordon Ramsay's Steak (Paris). We are fans of GRSteak and will be having Michelle's birthday dinner there in June and have celebrated our anniversary there. For a Japanese dinner maybe NOBU and a fun different place could be Hofbrau Haus (German beer house) by the Hard Rock just really different. Narrow down your choices and people will give you great suggestions

If this is a romantic anniversary dinner, and you are at Bally's, you can't beat the Eiffel Tower Restaurant. Make a reservation for a window table for two that overlooks the Bellagio fountains. They will also order roses for the table for your wife (at a pretty reasonable cost, IIRC). Good, not great food, but the souffles are fantastic, and the atmosphere is top notch. Based on this being your second trip to LV, I think a splurge is in order!

I can't rave enough about our meal for mom's 75th birthday at Eiffel Tower. We did the tasting menu with a cocktail and some wine for both of us and it came to just under $450 with a generous tip. There were certainly less expensive dining options, but we really wanted the tasting menu.

Eiffel Tower would be great as you can walk there, even inside if you want.

Steakhouse at Bellagio with outside seats is awesome... or any of the others that face the lake.

I bit more casual, but always special is eating on the patio at Mon Ami.

I like Eiffel Tower for an Anniversary, if you can notify them in advance to get window seating would really be really nice. Depending on what you order you could be under the $300 or at least close.

Does anyone have any experience with Gordon Ramsay’s Hell’s Kitchen?

It seems to be popular here. I had a great piece of crispy skin salmon there a while back but overall was not taken with the experience. It was more sizzle than steak. I like the suggestions above for MAG or Eiffel Tower. I'd also suggest Bouchon at Venezia.

I've not been myself, yet. However, it definitely looks more suited to a meal before a night out, rather than a romantic meal for 2.

Mastro’s Oceans Club at Crystals. You can’t go wrong with either their steak or fish. Be sure to split a salad and order the smaller portions of the side dishes, the small portions aren’t on the menu but they do them, they even do a smaller salad portion. The warm butter cake is worth the calories!

    Another vote for Sinatra.

I always get the Veal Parm and the wife gets lamb chops...... both are outstanding
