My Heads-down twenty minute tourney play is just over 900 hands per hour. Knock it down to 600 for casual play, five hours times four days is only 12,000 hands per trip. General expectation is one Royal out of 40,000 hands. One every three to five trips. Sixty trips without a taste, I think I’d be playing blackjack.

Gf was playing next to me...I hit the deal button and held 4 to a royal and let her hit the draw button and she hit it so we're taking 50/50 credit for it. It's in my last trip report...still need to finish our most recent TR with 2 royals in the same night on the same machine.

My brother’s last dealt four he tried to get this ‘oh Lordy Jesus’ lady at the bar to press the draw button. She wouldn’t touch it but assured him that Jesus wanted him to have that Royal. I’m not sure why he was hanging around El Cortez but she was correct.

I’ve played too much 50-play for it to be at all interesting to keep track.

I've had so many 4 to a Royals I lost count and I bet half of them ended up a flush that caused me many near heart attacks!

And yes it is strange that the only two I ever had was by holding 2 cards!

The best ones are when you need like the King of Hearts to fill the Royal and it deals you the King of Diamonds.
You see that red King flash up and you’re like :woohoo: for 1.5 milliseconds and then like  :(

I've had them holding four cards and holding one. You just never know. I wouldn't let anyone else hit my button if I was holding four to a royal.

    2 observations...

Mrs Idiot (don't tell her I said that) seems to get one every trip now.

I have never got one in Vegas...though I was dealt a royal on a 5-play DDB in East Chicago. Does that count as 5? That would mean I have 7 (or 3 if that does not count).

I read a case like that recently. A man and woman had been flirting for a few hours and he asked her to push the button on his slot. His cash, his seat, the machine jackpots and she claims it. Casino sides with her because she hit the button.

Yes, I also read that whomever hits the button is the winner of the money...at least according to the casino.

My amount of play should produce 2 royals/year and in fact, does. One year, a little while ago, I had 9 royals...4 of them dealt.

For table games, it's whoever last touches the chip. That's why a good dealer would ask a player to tap the chip bet if someone else touches it after the player before the cards are dealt.

    I read that too.
Then I shared that with my wife and told her that’s why she would never be allowed to touch my machine.
She then had an evil laugh and said “it’s half mine anyway”
