Won my pool! $700 might just go into the Vegas jar now. Got lucky on Reed, only 3 of 40 picked him and my two oldies Langer and Singh came through making the cut. First win after how many years of pooling:( I may be close to break even.

Finally getting some traction on craps. Had a few nice rolls, but they all happen when I'm down $500!

VP has been pretty good. A few premiums sprinkled in, and enough other hits to keep from going broke.

Bobby Jones is a legend. Now not just a golfing legend but a man in a pool of his own. Congrats Robert Trent.

Great TR, are you the same Rush that posts on a certain sports betting site under the same name?

The second drawing will be held live at 6pm tonight, Vegas time. They will call the people who aren't in town, and we will pick a number. They will tell us what we won.

After this trip...........I could use the $5000!

    :p

Couple trip side notes before I give a recap later in the week.

We saw maintenance working on a VP machine, and security was taking a picture of it. Looked like someone kicked in the screen.

Saturday evening, the craps tables at Orleans were humming pretty good! I was on the most NE table, and I was on the South end of it. There was a little commotion at the North end, and the game stopped. Seems one of the players was gone to the bathroom, and had a towel over his chips. When he got back and lifted up the towel, the chips were gone!

No one saw a thing. One dealer remembered a young guy taking a spot near the guys towel, and setting a few chips in the rail. A roll or two later, he left. I guess the tape showed him nabbing the chips. The player was a Hawaiian who I've seen in there many times. The casino knows him well, and the next day one of the dealers told me he was "taken care of".

Played some bubble craps. Snapped this picture of the 6-3 hitting five times in a row. Hopped the last three!

    Final thoughts.

It's been a week since we have returned, and I have fully digested this trip. Lost a ton of cash again, but VP was better to me this trip. Had several 4oak, and some of those were premiums. The wife had several nice VP hands as well.

Craps beat the snot out of me. Very few hot hands, and when they happened, I was down deep into my buy-in. Just couldn't take advantage of those poorly timed hands.

It's very hard to hold onto your money when you gamble 16 hours a day. I try to make plans away from the casino each trip, but the wife just wants to play VP all day. We rented a car for the week, and put 36 miles on it. We went to Sam's Town for a day, and that was it. We never follow through on plans to do other things, and it proves to be very expensive!

I would really like to get the gambling down to 4-6 hours per day, and try and enjoy the other things Las Vegas has to offer. I doubt it will happen, though.
