    The UK census splits things down to finer details than just white/black/Asian/etc.

    For my borough:

    Screen Shot 2018-04-10 at 06.50.38.png

    The 'Other Asian' category is the Nepalese community of current and former Gurkhas.

    Edit: The 'Other Black' category is mostly Fijian, again from the Army regiments based in the area.

    The best site I know of for checking out a city, county or state is www.city-data.com. An incredible collection of facts and figures about anywhere USA, with way more info than anyone could absorb. It's also got linked bulletin boards so you can ask questions. Locals or those familiar with the area are usually quick to respond.

    Just curious, do you Torontonian's ever get tired of patting yourself on the back?

    NO race issues.... We must watch different news reports. Granted it may not be a tense as some other spots in North American, we are not without own issues.

    No, Toronto is not. But any objective observer of the data over generations of steadily increasing immigrants and representation from virtually every country on earth. would conclude that the tolerance balance is astounding. There are many reasons for this- including the fact that most people here hustle to survive and grow their relative fortune. Plus, unlike many other cities- particularly in America, there is no one single dominant minority. TO's only comparison is NYC- on the planet.

    Thus, it's not an Us v Them situation and most of Toronto's neighbourhoods, contain multiple cultures, ethnicities, races and languages, who interact at school, recreation sites, transportation routes & work places- daily !

    And btw, we won't be taking advice on these matters from a provincial, mangecake backwater, notorious for its excessive number of civil servants and politicians. Or, as the saying goes:

    'The NCR? 11 Square Miles surrounded by reality!'

    As of the census[4] of 2000, there were 11,021 people, 3,923 households, and 2,459 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 1,378.9 people per square mile (532.6/km²). There were 4,630 housing units at an average density of 579.3/sq mi (223.7/km²). The racial makeup of the CDP was 59.99% White, 30.00% African American, 0.38% Native American, 4.22% Asian, 0.12% Pacific Islander, 1.81% from other races, and 3.48% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 4.78% of the population.

    Nearly 20 years old, but I doubt it has changed much.

    @Rookies11

    my, my what rose coloured glasses you see the world thru...

    You have completely missed the point of my post. I was replying to the superiority and smugness portrayed in your original post.

    As I said, Toronto may be more fortunate than other large cities, but it is not Utopia.

    No need to insult other cities btw.
