We all have our favourite poker room in Vegas, be it because you’ve won a monster pot, scooped a BBJ, or just like the whole atmosphere/vibe. What’s your favourite?

Mine is a pretty vanilla choice by all accounts.

    ARIA

I played my first ever session in Vegas here. I was in absolute awe of the poker room. Everything from the dealers to the chairs to the waitresses. It truely was world class. I fell in love with the room. I also remember that session ended rather favourably and I ended up booking a tidy win at 1/3. It will always be in my mind as one of my best Vegas memories.

Would love to hear some of your choices :)

I still think Bellagio captures a magical feeling that isn't replicated anywhere else.

I love Aria and Wynn(Encore), but I just don't feel the energy that Bellagio has in either room.

I think my top 5 are:

    1) Bellagio
    2) Venetian
    3) Aria/Wynn
    5) Orleans (for Omaha)

My favorites for years were Sunset Station and The M, where I made more money playing than I did working. But since I put Vegas in the rearview mirror, both rooms are now defunct.

Always liked Mirage, but I think on my next trip I'll be hanging out at Golden Nugget and Bellagio, and will do a drive-by at Bally's just to see the room manager just to gauge the possibility of me maybe doing my own version of MacArthur and the Phillipines sometime next year...

For tournaments, Venetian (spread out, plenty of room to get in and out during breaks, and like the way their tournaments run).

For cash game, Wynn/Aria/Bellagio are all up there and each has its own nuances.
    • I like Wynn for their deeper buy-in limits (500 max on 1/3, 1500 max on 2/5, No Max on 5/10 -- all higher than the other rooms listed here). I'm still warming up to the new room at Wynn (if they hadn't moved I'd cite them as my fav for cash game).
    • Aria always seems to have a lot of crazy kids playing - I can't think of a time I didn't profit in a 2/5 game there. I don't like how close and cramped everything is in there though. Beyond the cramped tables, I do like the vibe/energy in this room.
    • Bellagio runs the most variety of cash games, comfortable room, and always playing 5/10 and higher NLHE games. Also comfortable, just a bit worn overall when compared to these newer rooms).

I dont really have a favourite. Best results and memories and TI, but ive given that room up for dead.

Like the staff and policies at caesars and that has been where ive played the last few trips.

I liked it better when it was in its own room, before they moved it out into the open. Now it is smaller, noisy, and deliberately less of a big deal in Caesars due to its placement, moreso as an afterthought now. I was thinking this open-air would give it a little life but I don't see it happening in there. Also a floor got into it with me last time I played there when he was very wrong about a decision to allow a player to re-open betting/raising when a short stack moved all in for less than a min raise and said player had already acted in that turn - floor told me that isn't a rule anymore (and if somehow that room decided not to use that rule anymore, another issue).

I want this room to do well and I want to like this room and they keep giving me more reasons not to.

Eh, magical feeling was the Taj in Rounders days. Then you realize it's a shithole once you set foot in the Borg

Bellagio had the worst floors and too many tables. Never liked playing there.

For random favoritism, Bally's was great when the room was right in the middle of the floor. Flamingo is still pretty fun for a dump. In terms of nicer ones, I preferred V and A, although V has gone downhill.

Think this is a good choice, except I cant warm to the Aria (always seems too cramped in there for my liking, plus I always get bad beats! flopped a set of 9's on a board of 952 last time and ended up losing to a guy who called all the way with A5 and got runner runner 3 4 for a straight)

I'll put the Mirage in for cash games - I just like the vibe in there.

I miss the Monte Carlo room:(, the massive paintings of foxhunts--castles-- what a awesome little place to low roll and drink.

Wynn and Bellagio. As someone else mentioned, Bellagio has a certain magical feeling (maybe because it's always bustling and you can usually see some well-known players in Bobby's Room). But I make the most money at Wynn which has a richer, looser clientele. The 1/3 at the Wynn plays like the 2/5 at Bellagio (max $500 buy-in).

I miss the old Ballys room when it was right beside Sullys Bar. Could still here all the action going on around you, the drinks came fast and the fish were plentiful.

The room that does it for me is the Bellagio. I will never forget my first trip to Vegas, when we walked into that room. It was before Bobby's room was even built and the upper level was what held the "big game". Just so happened that the first time ever in there Doyle Brunson was up there playing.

For me my Top 3 would be
    1. Bellagio
    2. Venetian
    3. Planet Hollywood (always fish heavy)

Like vegasmacker, I so miss the old Bally's room for the same reasons. I also greatly miss the old MGM and Harrah's rooms.

    Nowadays I like:
    1. Flamingo for the olde tyme feel and fishy folks.
    2. Golden Nugget day times when people aren't buying in for thousands in a 1/2 game.
    3. Venetian~the competition is tough, but I have a history of getting hit with the deck there.

I only played at Wynn once, but I remember it as being very claustrophobic. Am I remembering that correctly? The tables were jammed in there it seemed.

They moved the room last year, it's now in the Encore, and there's a lot more space between the tables. The old room wasn't all that crowded, but the new room really lets you stretch out. Aria is the one I always feel borderline claustrophobic in.

I will only play in the Nugget if there are thousands on the table :) :) Looking forward to giving that room my first try in a few weeks.

I forgot about the old MGM room. I used to really like that place. I would take smoke breaks and go watch the lions

The old MGM room (I assume you mean when it was sort of central near the nightclub and got a lot of foot traffic and noise) - was one of my favorites. Was not happy with what they've done with it, when I stopped by to play there last year.

Are you guys talking about the MGM room near the sportsbook? When it had the white granite around the edges of the table where your chips sat? I liked the room but it was always freezing in there, and I was iffy on the granite part. Some really juicy games, though.
