This will spread I am sure, low limit games will eventually increase to a quad-zero (10%) board and as you get to higher limits, you will see better odds. Similar to what has happened to BJ. I'm not a fan of this move.

although I will never play 000, ill stick to the single and double zero games...I do like that you can bet the green on the outside...wish the single and double zero offered that.

you can bet it outside. put your chips on the line between 2nd 12 and 3rd 12. That's the same thing as betting on the line between 0 and 00

The idea of tripple zero disgusts me. 6/5 BJ with amazing dealers with go go dancers is the cost per hour of your show while gaming to me. 000 yuck!

Yeah, within the last couple months. They added Face Up Pai Gow Poker (which I love) and the dealer was like, "We also have roulette with THREE ZEROES now!" as if I was supposed to be impressed.

I love NYNY but for a dealer to be impressed by "Triple Zero Roulette" is insane! I should know this but does anyone know the terrible odds on this game?

Good for the dealers. They got better pay from casino I guess.
    The players, they don't know/care the difference between single 0, double 0, triple 0. I don't.

If all of those "zeros" had a color, and were either classified as "odd" or "even", and if the individual number bets paid $36 (on single-zero), $37 on double-zero & $38 on triple? Then, yeah, sure....I'd have no problem with it.
Those zeros represent the house edge, along with short-paying the individual numbers (only 35-to-1, when true-odds would be 38-to-1 on a 0-0 game).
I realize that they could never pay true odds...fair enough... so why not "count" the zeros when computing the pay-out?
If they paid 36-to-1 on a 0-0 table, they'd still maintain a 5% House Advantage... way higher than craps or blackjack. Adding zeros without increasing the payouts is simply a money-grab.

incorrect sir, lol...that line between the 2nd and 3rd 12s is the courtesy bet for people who cant reach the other end of the table and dont want to use or wait for the dealer to place the bet.

it is an inside bet that pays more than if you bet the 1to1 beton the outside

if you bet $10 on red and $10 on the outside 0/00 split...red hits, you win $10, green hits, you win 17x each dollar so $170

where im going with this is for outside players, with the 0/00 table, if you are playing outside bets with denomination chips and decide you want to play the zeros which is an inside bet, if someone at the table is playing red, green, black inside, whatever denomination, you would have to buy in for a color now if one is available...makes it easy with green outside bet

I hate to keep sounding like a broken record (stuck CD? endless-loop MP3?) but as long as the economy remains strong and Las Vegas remains a seller's market, they will continue to foist such drek as triple-0 roulette, 6:5 blackjack, short-pay VP and the like on the customers. That's us, gang!

I do remember, once waaaayyy back in history, one casino (Vegas World?) had not only single-zero roulette, but they had this wonky weird rule in addition where you actually got kind of a second chance if zero came up.

As long as tourists come to the strip with disposable income, treat it like disposable income and expect to lose it, the strip casinos will keep making it easier for them to succeed. Discerning gamblers will continue to take their action downtown or off strip. The downtown casinos seem to be doing just fine... I hope they don't get greedy.

For low rollers like me, 6:5 has little real world impact. I am lucky to see more than one blackjack in any two hour session, so how much am I really losing due to the crummy rule? Like many, I prefer spending my money in casinos that offer better value for the gambling dollar. Thank you, El Cortez. Thank you, Plaza. Thank you, Main Street Station. Thank you, mostly, Orleans.

Some high limit rooms still have single zero with "en prison" on even money bets. It's a push if the next spin wins.

I know we've been through this, but it bears repeating.
If one assumes 60-70 hands an hour, you will (on average) be dealt 3+ blackjacks per hour, or 1 for every 21 hands dealt (or so).
Now, we all realize that it never works out that cleanly... we 've all played 22+ hands in a row without getting a blackjack.
The point is that, given enough of a sample size, one will (eventually) be dealt an average of 3 blackjacks an hour.

    Now - let's look at a flat-bettor, playing $10 hand... 6:5 vs 3:2, playing 4 hour of blackjack.
    4 hours x 3 = 12 blackjacks.
    12 x $10 x 6:5 = $144.
    12 x $10 x 3:2 = $180, or $36....or $9 an hour more.

If you're anything like me, and you're playing 8 hours or more of blackjack each day, that's $72+ per day....3 day trip? +$216.
For those for whom $216 doesn't mean much, well, they're probably playing green or black chips & getting 3:2 on the strip anyway.
For the rest of us, $216 can easily mean the difference between having a winning trip or a losing one.

I am wondering how long before they ruin craps. VP first, blackjack, roulette and that's the last one standing (if you don't count the reduction in max odds).

Don't look now but the fire bet has largely disappeared from the strip and they have lowered the A/T/S payouts to amounts that cause me and others to not even bet it...

That plus just a few $5.00 tables has made Craps a rougher game on the Strip in 2017-2018
