Thanks for the detailed reply Kelly

My wife is awesome and can be glammed out and fancy, but will also throw on a t shirt jeans and a cap and throw back a few beers.

Going to break up over 3 days. We will do n las vegas then go to fremont for the night. Then Sam's town area day 2. And Red Rock rampart suncoast day 3.
I don't mind walking in the walkable areas. I understand the idea of having a car but with a drink here and there ill pay the extra for the rides.
Again not looking to make money, more of an adventure of fun get those chips for my collection. Etc

I saw the cafe at Jerry's on YouTube the pies and cakes looked good.

Last trip we went to orleans,South point, silverton,M Resort and GVR. We have been to Sam's before took the free shuttle from harrahs then fremont.

You can get to Suncoast and Rampart via the WAX bus from Downtown. $2/person each way...express.

I've been to Jerry's Nugget and Eastside Cannery and have always felt safe.

Oooohhhhhh! Good catch! Better stay away! There's a pawn shop nearby!

In that case, better stay away from everything downtown, as the Pawn Stars shop is nearby! All of us know what strange characters hang out there. Some of the customers can be a bit scary too!

Most people don't really walk around outside at the off strip casinos. You usually get in a car or cab or shuttle, so the issue of safety rarely comes up. For me, the biggest downside to these places is that you can't just wake up and go for a walk.

While the casinos are relatively save you still need to practice caution, especially if you walk to a rental car in the parking lot. While it may seem safe, you never know if someone is lurking so best to be cautious.

20 years ago my dad got mugged walking outside the Lady Luck. Thug was hiding between cars so my dad didn't see him until he got mugged.

I've always felt safe at the listed casinos I've visited. Adding a few to the list for the next trip.

Yes, as dmr has stated, that's the best route, i used to drive to Jerry's (and the Palomino across the street..lol) from the Strip and off Strip from Orleans (does Orleans still have boxing?). The property is safe day and night as long as you adhere to the property.
If you go the long way using the streets like past downtown, it could get a little dicey at night, it's better to use the freeway and the LM exit to get you to Jerry's, which has always been my favorite (when i used to drive.....).

My husband enjoys having breakfast at Jerry's Nugget. So we usually go there, driving the unsafe way on Main Street, and valet park. It's an interesting ride but never a problem. We feel safe inside the casino.

A couple of years ago I went to the Vegas 51's Baseball game. I was staying at the El Cortez and walked to Cashman field and back. Going to the stadium I felt safe in the afternoon but walking back at night I was keeping an eye on my surroundings especially walking by this shady motel by the Neon museum.

We went to Jerry's Nugget once on a coupon run. Area was sketchy and some guy hit us up with a hard luck story 5 feet after we walked out of the door. He was dressed in a dirty suit and tried to say he was a businessman who had lost his wallet and was looking for bus fare home. He then began to follow us to our car, so I gave him $2 and and waited for him to walk away until we continued. He left. As we came back through the neighborhood on the way back from our run, he was sitting on the curb with a few other down and outers.

When I went inside Jerry's though, the thing I remember most was how much the pit boss was sweating my $15 bets, as if they'd never seen them before. That place and the Western is the only time I've ever had a small bet sweated out like that. Crazy.

I can believe that. In his defense, however, you were probably the only player or by far the biggest player in the joint at the time, so he didn't really have anything else to watch.

There are other perks across the street from Jerry's.

The Hard Rock's plenty safe! According to most VMBers, there's never anybody there... hence, nobody to mess with you.
