Just wondering if anyone has any experience of using UR comped? I joined up a while ago and as I have several 4 night + small amount of FP and RC offers from all the top tier MLife properties I thought that might qualify me for some offers. I put in a trip request today for one night Golden Nugget which was declined.

Having gone back to the site just now after having my Bellagio offer verified (don't know if the others have been reviewed yet) it says I don't have any current offers available to me (earlier in the day several were showing up).

I've only really played/stayed at Mlife resorts before so is it a case that these offers won't be enough to get me any sort of competing offer - should I just stick with Mlife and keep uploading my offers to see what comes up in future, or is it really pointless unless I play elsewhere and manage to score some offers from competing hotels also?

I love Craig at URComped. Good Dude and he works hard for the money. With that said, those generic "offers" they toss out there are always a waste to me. Some cruise lines ones seem OK. The rest are all cookie cutter offers that are tossed out for the masses.

The last time I stayed using URComped, they got me in at Green Valley with a good resort credit, rocking suite and a limo to fetch us from the strip. Meanwhile, the "offers: that show up randomly are $25 at some casino in St Louis that is way out of my market.

The value in URComped is them leveraging your play directly to the new casino you want to try. Everything else that shows as offers are pretty much page fillers, or for people that might just be dropping by to check a place out. If they arent pimping you directly there sadly is not much else of value.

I think a 4 night + any amount of FP/RC offer from MLife should let URComped open the door for you to any of the joints they have relationships with, including CET and V/P. Unless there is something really quirky about how you filled out your play stats, or if you are somehow getting those good offers from MLife based on a tiny amount of play as a teaser.

It's impossible to believe you can't get 1 night at Golden Nugget (I'm not saying you're lying when you say you got declined).

I'd use the email listed on the site to ask what's up with that, lol.

I suspect UR Comped has had some employee turnover. I also suspect, or more than suspect, GN can be pretty tight. IN some cases, tighter than higher end strip properties. They are a finicky casino.

Well i've got to the bottom of it I think. It looks like the offer matching thing is a bit of a red herring - GN aren't interested unless I establish a $2000 bankroll with them which is way outside my budget for one night. I guess I'll just stick with MLife who are happy to keep inviting me back at my current level of play :)

I agree you shouldn't spend any extra time trying to get a comp night out of GN through URComped or otherwise. But I just went to the URComped website and looked at one of their GN "offers" and they had one for up to 3 nights comped plus escalating throw ins "depending on play level" and this is what it said for play requirements:

    upload_2018-2-10_7-42-54.png

I don't know what play level you represented/proved to URComped, and I don't know how you determined the $2,000 bankroll requirement. But $3,000 coin-in a night is exactly what I'd expect for GN - it's about 75% of what strip joints look for and is right in line with a $100 retail room price. And if you're only asking for one night, that totally minimizes their risk - they're risking a $100 room. So if you DO play at $3,000 a night or better, I think you should be able to get it, one way or another.

I don't know anything about slots or coin in. This said, I do know something about UR Comped, Golden Nugget and table games at the Golden Nugget.

At $75 per hand (GN specific) you'd be lucky to have a one day comp of $63. The least expensive room at GN on a weekend is going to be between $125 and higher, casino rate and rack rate. UR Comped is going to get you a room. Maybe. And the bank roll is likely determining this based on number of hands per hour, etc.

My relationship w/ GN is through UR Comped, and I was recently told the URC/GN relationship has deteriorated. Take it for what it is worth. I'd speculate becuase they are advertising that $75 per hand there is actually going to get you something upfront.

Once you establish at GN, $75 is fine, and I've heard from others even $50 gets offers after some consistent history. But I know what my average bet per hand at GN is, directly from GN, I know what my marker line is there, and I know how they treat me, so I am somewhat skeptical that the offer at $75 per hand is anything other than a one time enticement, or loss leader, to attract new business and to see if any of it sticks.

Either that, or I've been getting incredibly screwed, which wouldn't surprise me, especially given the weakest link, which is the independent host.

    Good info.

That's exactly what UR Comped does, although whether a given offer is a loss leader or not depends on whether it's one of what they call "play-to-qualify" (ie. they don't guarantee it's fully comped upfront - this is the arrangement they have with CET) vs guaranteed comped up front (like with V/P, although you probably have to pretty well prove your numbers first). Once you've done your initial stay, you then belong to the casino player's club and marketing department and URComped is supposed to be out of the picture as far as that casino.

When you say "independent host", are you talking about someone other than URComped?

Ah OK, you went further in the process than I did. I would be OK with establishing a credit line, I would do that anyway if I had any intention of staying there on a regular basis, but I wouldn't put $2,000 front money in for 3 nights (even though that's ballpark what I'd expect to lose), never mind 1 night. If I was going for 1 night on a shakedown cruise to see if I liked it, I probably wouldn't even set up a credit line.

Too bad they try to lock you into the bankroll commitment like that, seems like a missed opportunity for them. If you still want to do it, just go the credit line route. Costs nothing and you don't have to use it if you don't want to.

When I say independent host, in this instance specifically, I am referring to URComped. Once URComped sets up the initial trip, they are the host for that property. URComped is not out of the picture. You are in that casinos player's club, and you are going to get offers directly from that casino, but the trip is set up through URComped, and URComped is compensated on your play. The back end comps are at the discretion of the casino. So in my case, URComped sets up the trip, and Golden Nugget's Director of National Marketing wipes my food and charges off at the end, and URComped receives commission on my play.

Found a very good deal for the night we are staying so just went ahead and booked. No pressure now, and I guess we'll see what offers (if any) come afterwards

For prosperity, I booked a night at Golden nugget through URC. The room was OK, i was put on the bottom floor with no view.

Here is my report from that fateful night. Just scroll through the Strip part to get to my Fremont stay

    https://sites.google.com/site/lvgrid/journal-blog/i-the-night-the-lights-went-out-on-fremont

In a nutshell, URC got me the room, and a dining credit, from my verified rated play elsewhere in Vegas. One night, all slots, over $10,000 of Coin-In and my bounce back offers were for Black Jack Tournaments, discounted rooms, or a meal credit if I paid for the room upfront.

I've never been back after seeing those insulting offers from solid play. They can suck my butt.

Thanks Grid - that's good to know. I won't worry about keeping my play to GN when I'm there then!

Okay I cant search for it as everything comp shows up.

I believe the owner of the site is a member here.

Just wondering if anyone has gotten any offers using the site.

My problem right now is when I get offers if I dont plan on using them I read them and toss them so I have nothing to upload.

ps. Great interview I found the other day with our @Sonya if you havent read it.
I'm waiting for somoene to mention Main Street Station just so I can call it a dump after reading that article lol.

He is, but he hasn't checked in here lately, so best to contact him through his site. Craig is @shacktown here on VMB.

If you search VMB for URComped, a number of threads will come up with people who booked through his service.

Don't make me have to fight you. :haha:
