Live Vlog (01/01/18 - 10/01/18)

Awesome vlog Matt! I told my husband that if we are ever in Vegas at the same time as you I would hang out with you lol!

Question for you... what is your overall slot strategy? You seemed to get a lot of play for your money. I can never make $500 last any amount of time.

Well, my base game is Quick Hits which tends to be a low maximum bet ($1.50 - $2.50 on average), so I usually start most days on that and often do quite well on it. Choice of machine is not random, I usually play the Quick Hit machine where the lower end progressives are at a higher level than the other machines in the bank (even if it's only by a few $).

Other regular machines that I tend to get a fair bit of play out of are Double Top Dollar ($2 a spin) & Wheel of Fortune ($2 a spin). Again, I seem to get decent play from these on the whole. I rarely bet over $4 a spin on anything.

If I get a bonus I tend to cash out. I rarely play more than $100 in a single machine. If I am significantly ahead I will never put all the money back in a machine.

If I am losing I revert to lower maximum bet machines for a while to extend my playing time (back to Quick Hits!). I'm a fairly sensible gambler most of the time.

Machines I avoid - Game of Thrones (tightest machine ever) & Walking Dead (both variations).

If you watch my vlogs you will see I also tend to do quite well on Harley Davidson - but I only play it when two of the three free spin bonuses are 'flaming' at my desired stake. It is a similar principle to the Quick Hits in that they've clearly not been won for a while.

 

Thanks for the detailed response Matt! Quick Hits is definitely one of my favs as well. My husband's 1st hand pay was on a 90 cent bet on a QH. Ever since then however, it hasn't done anything for either one of us.

I will definitely try your strategy in a 2 weeks. Now, if I can just learn to walk away when I hit a bonus....

 

I don't know when I enjoyed a trip report as much as this.... its fun, funny and fantastic!

Yes I have a number of times, although it's never been particularly lucky for me.

I've just booked to stay at Rio for part of my August trip, so will no doubt be giving it another try

Can't believe I missed this real time. Glad someone commented to bring it to the top. I love a good trip report, but a real vlog is even better. What I really love is your appreciation for a win. Many people express disappointment for a bonus under $200. The key to a great vlog is to have fun, it really shows and allows us to have fun too. Looking forward to the next.
