Hey guys, I'll be heading to Vegas in a few weeks for AEE and was wondering which current casino has the best slot floor? It's been about a year since my last trip. I like a mix of old and new games but I especially like Monopoly, Price is Right and other "game show type" games. Thanks.

MGM which is almost walkable has an extensive slot floor.

Only been to HR a few times and for some reason, the fancy megabucks machines there always paid off for me. The odds are terrible on them, but they were fun and able to keep a bit better than even -LOL

Thanks, I don't think I've ever been to MGM. I will check it out. I've played at Hard Rock before, never seem to do well there. This is the first time I'm staying there though. Just more convenient with AEE being there.

Cosmopolitan. Mix of old and new. Nice atmosphere. You might enjoy it.

Since you are at Hard Rock - you have Ellis Island and Silver Sevens within walking distance.

Another vote for mgm if you want a big selection of new and old. Bellagio has a good mix as well. Aria and cosmopolitan have lots of shiny new games.. Plenty of older casinos have old games ie 3 reel non video, but the ambiance is similarly retro - low ceilings, ridiculously loud like a video game arcade, and little/no air circulation that accelerates lung cancer diagnosis.

I was just in Vegas about a month ago. I'm shocked to see MGM still being mentioned for the best Slot floor. Years ago, absolutely! But not now. I pretty much only play slots, with some video poker mixed in.

MGM now has the entire front right hand side slot area ripped out for the poker room. All the slots near the strip entrance were removed awhile ago for the stupid (to me) always empty E-Sports bar/lounge thing. The slots circling the buffet were reduced so they can add more space. And the slots down the center of the main casino were taken out for more table games. As were the slots near the David Copperfield theater. All gone now!

Plus the entire slot floor near KA, has been completely removed. Now it is just empty space with a handful of slot tournament games. The MGM is in a very sorry state from what it once was. We circled the casino 4 times looking for something to play and didn't find much. Not many older IGT classic titles, and just a small section of older mechanical games, mostly Majestic Lions which have been there since the 90's.

Nearly all MGM casinos have the same games as one another now. And nearly all MGM casinos have drastically reduced the number of slots they have on the floor. Given space for queuing of clubs, coffee shops or yogurt stands now. Very sad.

For the best mix, I agree with Treasure Island. And the slots there (from my own anecdotal evidence) point to them being the most fair on the strip. Followed by Cosmo with a great mix of older and brand new games. They seem fair in returns as well.

If you want one of the big clubs, Harrah's still has a good mix of slots and plenty of different carnival video poker for CET. And New York New York still has a good mix of old and new for the MGM joints, followed closely by Bellagio, which should have more games then NY NY as well, just heavier on the newer titles.

MGM had a great slot floor... about 15 yrs ago. I think Venetian had a great slot floor for the last 6-7 yrs but it seems to have lost its mojo in the last couple of years. If I had to pick 3 to play all day right now, I'd go Bellagio, NYNY, and Paris.
However there's several off-Strip properties that I like much better as I gravitate to older slots.

The last few trips I've enjoyed the machines at V/P and Cosmo. Good mix of slots to be found at both. Have a great trip.

MGM used to be my favorite casino, then they took out the lions, the slots up front and it's been all downhill since. Can't even stand the place anymore

On the Strip I'd say Cosmo. They have a variety of slots and you can actually win occasionally! If you like Wheel of Fortune and some of the slightly older slots - Casino Royale. You can win often, but the wins are usually small. Venetian/Palazzo/Wynn have a decent selection of slots, but the payoff seems quite low (for me anyway). The amount per play is often higher than other casinos too.

Downtown on Fremont Street you'll find an eclectic mix of old and new slots. The D even has an area upstairs with even older slots. They seem to pay off quite a bit better than Strip slots. It's usually worthwhile going there at least one day on a trip.

Cosmo all the way and Bellagio has a good mix. You can walk between the two in five minutes

To each their own pros and cons. Mandalay has the best casino on the strip for ceiling height roominess layout. Least smoke smell because of the ceiling height. Game selection in my opinion sort of sucks just stuff I am not really into playing and a lot of dead space. Also worst drink service at mlife properties and the far end of the strip not too conducive for walking place to place

Monte Carlo (I kid, I kid...)
I like Bellagio and Palazzo (I don't actually like the casino itself, but I like the slot selection).

OK, after a Vegas trip, I'll update my opinion to be in favor of Harrah's.

I second Harrahs. I was really
impressed with their casino while there recently.
