As my trip approaches these awesome trip reports are getting harder and harder to read.

 

Better than lunch, but I have got to say that burger looks no less blah. Those greens (they look to be the ends of a romaine head, or possibly some really big leaves of spinach) appear to be of a greater volume than the meat itself! This is one of my biggest turn-offs when it comes to burgers. Nothing should overwhelm the taste, texture, and juiciness of the actual burger. Anything else (onions, mushroom, cheese, horseradish, etc.) should be a distinct second at most. Glad to hear it tasted good though... and double for having found that jacket!

Oh, and nice bonus on Wonka! I'll be keeping my eye on this report tonight... can't wait to see what else you've got in store

Burger was thick, definitely recommend Holsteins. Shake was top shelf. Good eats.

 

Christmas morning. Getting multiple texts from him every day asking how “his” slot is doing. It’s hilarious.

 

LOL, I was thinking the same thing when the sales lady was ringing it up. Just basic brown, not the candy cane motif that Seinfeld had.

 

NYNY. Second spin. Took the quick hit and cashed out.

Going back to my roots, hit and run BJ downtown. Starting off at El Cortez.

Busted. I only smoke in Vegas.

 

Freaky BJ session at ElCortez. Up and down, had to go in my pocket twice for double downs, when low on chips, won ‘em both and eked out a modest win. Headed back to Cosmo for a drink and call it a night. Gambling was so-so today.....

 

So this just happened. Been back at Cosmo for like five minutes. Couldn’t walk past Wonka without one more go. Three very quick bonuses. This is the kind of hit and run that I like.

 

Sounds great @EastCoastVegasFan!, I'll be looking forward to your text and hanging with you on Christmas. Caesars at Christmas has a certain poetry to it.

 

Not a big cigar smoker at all. I just got the itch when the cigarette girl came buy the Chandelier bar last night. Can't even tell you what kind I had, they were real cigars though - not those cherry things with the plastic thingie on it. My shirt reeked something fierce this morning and sent it out to be cleaned because I didn't want it stinking up my room.

Day two had some BIG swings. Slots were bad early on but the evening was good with roulette, BJ and Wonka slots. I know I'm playing with fire with Wonka, my July trip paid for this trip mainly because of Wonka Oompa Loompa bonuses, but it's a fun game and I've met some great peeps at the machines next to me. Hope I can stay lucky but I know I'm bucking some serious odds. BJ session at El Cortez was kind of scary having to dig into my wallet on a couple of double downs but somehow I pulled out a small win. The roulette hit on my second spin was sweet.

Food today was okay. Had a less than memorable breakfast, decent lunch at Paris (but enough about that, lol ). Holsteins was good, the shake was the highlight. Only had a couple of gin and tonics today, I'll get back to some fun drinks tomorrow at Frankie's Tiki Room (which I'm really pumped up about).

Fremont Street was disturbing. Walked from Plaza to El Cortez with intentions of walking back to Plaza playing BJ along the way. Not a lot of people on Fremont Street which made the plethora of bucket beaters and all the other characters stand out that much more. For some reason tonight was the first time that whole scene really got to me. Couldn't get myself up to walking back to Plaza so I just Ubered "home" from El Cortez.

Interestingly, there is no snow on the mountains. First time I've been here in December in a long time, but there's usually snow up there in November when I visit every year.

Walked past MC tonight. Didn't go in but it looks from the outside at least that they have a helluva lot of work to do.

Overall a fun but stressful day. The early losses kind of got me down BUT that made my wins tonight that much more enjoyable.

I'm well within my budget so far, having an absolute blast and having some great conversations with complete strangers at the slots, bars and table games. Going to continue to let it rip at the slots and tables.......
