Booked at PH and MGM next week both are comped and was just wondering if they were still sending emails to upgrade your room

If so what can i expect at PH i have 5 night in their basic room(ultra hip) and at MGM Grand King strip view i have.

If i decide to go for the 20$ trick what type of room should i ask for without getting too greedy ?

Ditto on definitely yes on CET. I don't know that I've ever gotten one from MGM - or any of the M Life properties.

I havent received one from MLife in a while but generally receive one a month out. With that said, i am coming in 2 weeks and no email offer. With it being slow season, one would think this is the time to upsell.

MGM sends these out on comped rooms? I have NEVER gotten one from MGM after staying on many, many, many comped stays. I wonder why?

I got one at Aria last year about a month before.

Nothing for The Mirage but maybe NFR has something to do with it.

If you don't see upgrade emails, check your junk mail. Yesterday I was looking for something else and came across the upgrade email for my room at Linq.

I booked Harrah's for the Spring and i got an e-mail offering an upgrade to my Mardi Gras room for a Valley room for $30 a night extra. I'm comped for 5 nights which means if i take it i'll be paying $300 ($150 resort fee + $150 Valley room). No thanks, i'll stay with the Mardi Gras room and use the sandwich for Valley.
If i can't get the Valley room i'll at least will get the best possible Madi Gras room or something similar as an upgrade.

The best CET upgrade offer I got was at the time of booking. For whatever reason, after I had submitted payment, they offered a NOBU King over my Forum King for $13 / night. Like you, I declined because I was certain I could get what I actually wanted (Octavius) for less by dealing with the FDC.

I've gotten plenty of emails from CET, including the $10/night pre-arrival offers for rejecting housekeeping, but I have never seen an upgrade offer.
