Two cans of ravioli with toast and butter
I'm just staying home this Thanxgiving. Neighbors are going out to dinner, but when they come back, we are going to have pumpkin pie from Urth Caffe with coffee. Mmmm!!! Perhaps a cigar with some Scotch too.

Another vote for Cracker Barrel takeout - Excellent. We do this every year.

Homestyle Turkey and dressing, Sweet potato casserole, Mashed potatoes -with brown gravy, Green Beans, Mix of biscuits and corn muffins, All-American Apple pie, plus many other veggie, dessert, and food options. Pick up at your choice of day & time.

Always get out the fine china, too.

Pecan pie finished, made the southern pecan that you boil the corn syrup and sugar and then mix it into the eggs and butter and add vanilla. It’s usually better that way. But it bakes an hour,[IMG] so even with my pie crust edge guards it got a little dark. Oh well.

That pie looks like a world winner. I sometimes do key lime pie using limes from my tree.

We had our feast Saturday evening with our kids and grandsons since we rotate sharing holidays with the other grandparents. Was sooo fun.
Today husband and I drove 70 miles to have a Thanksgiving meal with 92 year old FIL at his cool digs in his assisted living community!
Licked his plate clean - he loves to eat :feedme::feedme:. . Fun day

Way too much food (probably shouldn't mention there were only 7 of us):
    Turkey
    IMG_0510.JPG
    IMG_0511.JPG
    IMG_0514.JPG
Gravy and Brussel Sprouts (still hate them, those are for my wife and mother in law)
    IMG_0512.JPG \
    Sweet Potatoes
    IMG_0513.JPG

Not pictured: (cooked by me) Stuffing, Mashed Potatoes, Green Beans. Cooked by others: cranberry sauce (real sauce, and the stuff in the can.. have to have both), corn, peas, asparagus, bread, and butternut squash (may be missing a few).

Dessert was Pumpkin Pie (didn't even get to that), apple pie, my daughter made mint chocolate cupcakes, and I made my newest culinary challenge:

    The Piecaken!
    IMG_0515.JPG
    IMG_0516.JPG

Bottom layer is pecan pie, middle is pumpkin pie, top is carrot cake, with apple pie filling on top, and cinnamon buttercream frosting. The pies fell apart a bit trying to get them out of their pans, and need to work on the frosting (my first time trying to make a cake), but was very tasty. Now I have to make another one and bring it in to work on Monday.
