Well, after the first 30 seconds, my luck abandoned me. Though I’m pretty sure that complaining about being up $17k in an hour would be in poor taste.

Trying to decide if I’m hungry enough for Milos or if I should just have a snack and wait until dinner for a meal...life is tough when you’re faced with such difficult decisions.

Room renos are cool. Living room TV is a huge upgrade and I love all the charging options by the bed. The layout of the living room area seems to be more practical as well. Though, is it possible that the room got even darker than before?? Also there appears to be some construction noise. No worries yet but we’ll see how I feel about it in the morning!

Oh, and Secret Pizza leftover lovers can rest easy:

 

Go to Holstein's or The Henry for a little something and then have a nice meal later...with secret pizza as a midnight snack.

Yes. And I notice that I didn’t have it on earlier. I take back what I said about the room being even darker than before. That light and a few others that can be turned on with the tablet seem to help quite a bit. I wouldn’t call it “bright” but it is definitely an improvement.

 

Great start to the trip. Hopefully pops is also lucky.

Forgot to mention the best part of the Cosmo renos: the hallways. They’ve looked pretty ghetto since the place opened, IMO. Huge improvement! Not Encore-nice, but much easier on the eyes than before.

Dad remembered how much he liked the fried chicken at Blue Ribbon, so I think that will probably be the dinner spot. We’re also contemplating Bardot. But I think the convenience of Blue Ribbon will win out.

The old man’s luck has been crap, dammit. But we’re having fun. After dinner, hopefully the dice tables will be kind (and less than the $25 mins they were earlier).

 

I did a terrible job with the food porn pics, . But here is The Fitzgerald (cocktail), the remnants of some great oysters (1/2 east 1/2 west, the west were out of this world!) and bone marrow with oxtail and onion marmalade , pork chop and fried chicken.

 

Probably ought to have some chocolate chip bread pudding...

 

@thecarve Are you going to eat that chicken leg? Ummm ummm yumm.
