What is this? It's NOT true? Damn, coulda gone for T-day and just neglected for that very reason. Now who goes every year that may want to keep attendance manageable? Maybe that's where this fabrication was originated. Hmmmph.

When you come down the escalator from the Cal connection it is the very first bank of machines. The bank has 6 machines and the 3 machines that FACE the escalator have STP 9/6 DDB as well as other full pay games. Why would you play anywhere else? :wiggle:

I checked on www.vpfree2.com They have 9/6 DDB and DW44 but not 9/6 JoB. All at $.25 level triple play. They also have $.10 play and 5 and 10 hand play but I'm not sure of the payout because, well, lazy. Goto www.vpfree2.com and sort by game, not casino. Put in game (DDB), denomination ($.25), change 'standard' to 'Super Times Pay' and change '1 hand' to '3 hand'. You'll find full pay at MSS, GC and SP.

You can't beat 4Queens, especially Chicago Brew Pub because of food, or Main Street Station Boars Head.

King's Bar at Four Queens has always been my best. Across the street at Binions has excellent cocktails also.

My absolute fav is the Long Bar at the D. Take care of the bartenders and they take care of you !!:drunk::drunk:. I also seem to meet a ton of interesting people coming and going all night.

Best pour of makers mark was at the GG. Put money in a machine and was given close to a triple on the rocks. Not very good paytables but great drinks. Still prefer the boars head at MSS or vue at the D. QQQQ is good for progressives.

I'm going to throw a new one out there... the Downtown Grand. I have hit quarter progressive Aces with a kicker each of my last two trips - one for $900 and this last one for $1020! Plus bartenders are friendly and I just like the vibe there.

Hit a $4,000 Royal there two years ago at the bartop. Bartender comes over, looks and says well you did hold 4, as if it was no big deal. That kinda of ticked me off. No congrats - nothing from him. He didn't get any percentage of the handpay.

Do any of the non-casino bars downtown have bar top VP?

Ike's is my favorite. I do like Boar's Head but it's not full pay for Bonus Poker.

Reminds me of my brother’s comment on my Royal! “Well, you could’ve gotten them in order.”

How many jackets did you win on your trip earlier this month?

Do you mean the Fremont East bars like Vanguard Lounge, Commonwealth, Corduroy, etc? I don’t recall seeing bar top VP at any of those places. Frankie’s Tiki Room, which could probably be technically called downtown, has bar top VP. Paytables are shite though.

The threshold is only $200 for .25 machines and $300 for $1 to qualify as a jackpot. I got 6 jackets. A couple from VP, 3 from that Buffalo game which I never played before (the slot lady told me to play it on Sunday/Monday because 11 times points), and one from the Quick Hits slot.

BTW - I found the slot lady and gave her $50 since she was the one that made me play the Buffalo game!

That's what I meant. Keep meaning to check some of those places out but it pains me to actually pay for a drink outright in Vegas.

The Omaha Bar at the Plaza. Not very large and yet over 5 full pay quarter games. http://www.vpfree2.com/casino/plaza-hotel-casino

Drink service is superior to Boars head ( plus 1/3 rd the size of Boards head, so way less room to cover by bartender). No matter where you are sitting at bar, bartender sees you. Plus showroom is right next to bar! Some pretty good entertainment when I was there during March madness last year!
