    My Trip Report

So, I was sick as a dog last week, but that didn’t stop me from going to Mecca..

Friday: we get to the MGM at around 6pm, and check in. I finally got a chance to see the new Hooters Casino, it looked like something orange just blew up inside the San Remo. We had a vegas virgin with us, so we got a martini inside of him at the Martini 13 bar, and walked him around the strip. We (there were 4 of us) showed him this, showed him that, and what used to be here and there. Went to the Bellagio and showed him the "nicer" hotel. At around 2am, we get a call that the rest of the group (4 other people) had finally arrived. To make a long story short, there were 8 of us inside a West Wing room at the MGM; 2 beds became 4..I never knew how much it sucked to sleep on a box spring…was this 1996 and was I back at the frat house?

Saturday: moving day. We moved the party to my friends Penthouse Suite (don’t get excited, it was a timeshare, the Cancun to be exact). We un-pack and explore our location. The suite itself was nice, but it was too far from the action. We decide to stay in a few hours and enjoy the big screen TV in our room and watched the UCLA game…final four baby!
At 7pm, we finally reveal to my friend, who is getting a divorce, that we had a surprise divorce party planned for him…hes a free man again! We go and have dinner at the Hofbrahouse (which was TONS of fun) and afterwards walked, yes WALKED, from the Hard Rock to The Beach…did I mention I was sick?? At The Beach, we get our drinks on, and since one of the guys in our group won $1,000 playing 3 card poker, the drinks just kept on coming all night. After we get my buddy a few body shots with the waitresses that work there, we move the party to Gilleys at the New Frontier. We thought we were going to see some cool mud wrestling, but it was texas country night or something, so it really wasn’t our cup of tea. We, of course, knock back about 5 more beers, and were headed out the door.
As we were walking out, some limo guy asks us if we wanted a limo ride back to the room, in a drunken rage we say "yes!" My friend throws in a girl he literally met 5 minutes earlier in the limo, and we are on our way. We drop off our friend and his new found friend back at the room, and take the limo to In-and-Out (we were hoping he was doing the same thing too!) 2 hours later, we go back to the room, and we find him alone.."comon man, you had the suite, a Jacuzzi, the master bedroom, I cant believe you didn’t close escrow on that girl?!" Its turns out that that girl was a self-proclaimed Vampire, meaning, she liked to bite on her partner while they were doing it, and suck on his blood during the process. I know what "happens in Vegas, stay in Vegas", but my friend was freaked out! Sick old me passes out at 3am. Goodnight.

Sunday: woke up and had a decision to make: we were playing golf in less than an hour and I was HUNG-OVER like a bitch. Do I play, or sleep in? The 4 of us were playing for a $100 pot, and for a low roller like me, $100 would come in handy. To make a long story short, I made myself throw up 5 times, teed it up, and won the whole thing! My drives werent good, but my second and third shots weer on the money. I paid for my room with my winnings, had a few beers, and had my victory dinner at the South Coast Casino. After dinner, we had to drop off some our group as they had to leave early. Later that night, we just mellowed out and gambled a bit..i didn't win JACK the whole weekend. Goodnight

Monday: for some reason I made it back to L.A. in only 2.7 hours..wow! Cant wait to go back!

Great report Ed. Just when you think you've heard it all - a vampire :eek2 . I'm not sure what freaks me out more - the vampire or eight guys in a MGM West Wing room. Glad to see that the sickness didn't bring you down.

Reading your trip report brought a tear to my eye...

Pounding 5 beers before you leave the bar, In N' Out, Vampires, and playing Golf while hung over. Okay, I don't golf....but my best hang over cure is to go surfing. No matter how hung over I am, I always feel sober and well when I get out of the water...

And the 2.7 hour drive back to LA makes me wish I didn't live in San Diego....GGRRRRRR. Those 6-8 hours on the road can be killer.

Good to hear you partied and rallied back and didn't bring shame to the board.:vomit: :haha:
