The first American film to show a toilet being flushed on screen was Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho.

We had a blue heeler that used to fart himself awake- sweetest dog we ever had. He also like to eat my pony tail holders. Unfortunately they could never totally clear the sphincter. My husband renamed them- he was the one that had to pull them out. Pony tail holders are now referred to as asshole snappers.

The roadway of the Brooklyn Bridge is actually about four inches higher during zero degree weather than it is during 90 degree weather due to the expansion and contraction of the suspending cables.

and in a sorta, kinda, in a way related note:

The top of the Eiffel Tower leans away from the sun, as the metal facing the sun heats up and expands. It can move as much as 7 inches.

I have my doubts about this, especially while consuming beer but here it goes.
The average adult bladder can hold 16 oz.
The average adult urinates 800 to 1200 milliliters a day while consuming a average 2 liters of liquid a day.

The musical "Kelly" is regarded as Broadway's biggest flop, after closing on its opening night in 1965.

Thanks, @dmr. I'm going off to read about that in a bit.
There must be a good story behind that one.

It was a musical adaptation of the legend of Steve Brodie (researching this will be left as an exercise for the student) and, IIRC, barely had enough capital to open. I actually remember the report that said the decision to kill it and cut their loss was made at intermission time.

On a related note, I actually remember someone who claimed to see Rochelle Rochelle, but I forget if it was the film or the stage production. :)
