Beau Rivage's website says they are currently closed due to Hurricane Nate. Just curious... Does that mean they evacuated all of their guest prior to the storm?
If so, I wonder how long that took and how were people able to get flights home? From: Central Florida - Allegiant Airline only flies on Wed and Sat. I hope that
entire region (Biloxi, New Orleans etc) weathers the storm ok. Especially the flooding.

They announced last night that Scarlet Pearl would be closed but this morning they announced that they would re-open as soon as the "receive approval through the Mississippi Gaming Commission".

Nugget water was just on first floor parking deck and basement area. These buildings have the casinos and public areas on second floor and up. Beau's lower floor does have bus entrance and charter check in on lower floor, that might be a mess.

Just got an email from the Pearl that all operations are now open, permission granted from gaming commission.

Glad to know it wasn't a major disaster in Biloxi - enough with the hurricanes already - folks in the USA and Islands need a break.

Some friends were evacuated from the casino to a motel for last night. They are back in their room today, as far as I can gather from their Facebook posts.

We just returned from Biloxi/NOLA. We were booked at the Beau from Thurs-Sat. and were then going to NOLA on Sunday. When we heard about the hurricane coming we booked an extra night (Sunday) at the Beau because we thought we would be safer there. We were out and about on Saturday morning and went to the casino when we returned to the hotel. An attendant told us that we had 20 minutes to evacuate the hotel. We ran up to our room, threw our stuff in the suitcase and left, not knowing where to go. The rain had already started and we were scrambling to find somewhere to stay. We finally found a room at a Comfort Inn in D'Iberville and stayed there overnight. The next morning (Sunday) we found out that there was NOT a mandatory evacuation for the hotels, just a mandatory closing of the casinos by the gaming commission and many of the other casino hotels remained open. Not a word from Beau, no email, no text, no communication at all. so we called Harrah's in NOLA and got our room back for Sunday night. We later received an email from the Beau saying that they reopened at 1:30 PM on Sunday; too late for us since we were already in NOLA.

In our opinion, we were left high and dry by the Beau. This was a poor decision on their part and we will not forgive and forget. My husband talked to the hotel manager on Sunday and he said that there will be some kind of compensation for those of us affected by the evacuation but I doubt that they will pick up the tab for our forced Comfort Inn stay. He stood by his decision to close the hotel and said that all the others were closed-NOT TRUE. I do know that they sent the "junket" people home on Saturday before the Gulfport airport closed but the rest of us were stranded.

    So that's the story.......

Not much damage, Fly. Just some water in the lowest level of the parking garage. We saw a few cars floating around down there.

I'm glad you left. They don't deserve your patronage if they pull tricks like that.

    See you both soon.

Should have been flying out tomorrow but had to change the flight because Tony is stuck in Spain until Saturday. Air traffic control strike grounded thousands of flights on Tuesday and the first flight they rescheduled was also cancelled. He flies home Saturday and we fly to Vegas on 19th October.

    See you soon.
