Proper etiquette from this state requires one to leave the accent and pleasantries at the border. Yes em turns into yes ma'am. Barbq turns into bar bee q. You want me to eat What??! Turns into croissant. Dr Pepper turns into soda. OMG turns into Throw-up country gravy.
So yeah, I am sure she has adapted as most of us have when leaving home to be able to communicate satisfactorily. Or Maybe +1 is the interpreter / designated driver / body guard et al. We shall see.

Haha you guys make me laugh!

My accent comes out with certain words but I tend to try harder when I'm in the states and change words like loo to restroom and cwtch to hug haha and don't even get my started on fanny....

I'm with you there WelshBlonde. My company (Cumbria, NW England) had contracts with US, southern England and German companies so I probably modified my pronunciation because of that. Since I retired I'm sure I've dropped back to more local dialects.
First time we came to America I had to translate for the OH when he was ordering an omelette. He turned to me and said that I had told them exactly the same as he had. What was my secret? Clear pronunciation. I'm afraid I'm not as clear as I used to be.. Lack of practice..

Your typing belies your possible lack of enunciation. It works.

@WelshBlonde - loving your TR! Great pics, great commentary, great humor and you and +1 look gorgeous together.
You do Vegas well and can't wait to read more! Lucky you to have gotten great rooms at Mirage and Linq - keep it going. :nworthy:

BTW - if you follow @tringlomane 's suggestion on VP, you will fare well - amazing knowledge of VP and willing to share - I'll never be close to perfect, but I keep practicing and memorizing thanks to him.

Sending good karma and wishing you much fun for the rest of your trip!

I definitely get that one. Good news is the trickiest holds usually don't cost too much! That one is less than 2 cents at max quarters. Can't worry about 2 cents in Vegas! ;)

Holy crap. How does one change their methodology after years of angst? No wonder I stick with JoB and get aces with the 3. Damn damn damn.

So yesterday involved a major lie in untill 12pm! Well needed but felt like I missed out on some vegas time. I suppose its to be expected with a longer trip.

Went and got my hair done again whilst waiting obviously had a little VP dabble...nothing amazing but broke even and free drinks so cant complain!

After hair we had a group meal as part of the convention im here for. We went up to a little place called El Dorado mexican. It was nice! We dont get much mexican in Wales.

So then we had a party in Drais! Not lots of photos sorry but the club itself is great with epic views of the strip! I didn't stay too late as it was $1000 a table after our party because Big Sean was on straight after and its like $30 a drink...eep. Call me cheap but I'd rather stick that in VP and get a drink. Plus I'm getting too old for this clubbing business...

    Ok! So today...

Shopppping! Wow I did so much shopping. Went up the strip a little the got a taxi to...

    20171009_145201.jpg

Love this mall! I know its not the main ones on the strip however its never to busy and the deals are amazing! Had like 30% off everything! Uber lady on the way back advised of the columbus day holiday which also helps with the sales!! Lucky day to choose to go shopping.

Ok, next stop Paris! Did a little slots before meeting up with fellow VMBers! Gota couple of bonuses and a progressive jackpot plus drinks...not bad.

Paris is such a pretty casino. I love all the faux-architecture and french themes.

    20171009_214106.jpg

Met some lovely VMBers! You guys are awesome so thank you for letting us tag along! Had many, many.....many drinks in the Paris DL! Service and company was outstanding. Wandered back through Paris, hit this bad boy on walking dead....

Don't feel bad @WelshBlonde - I do the spreadsheet thing too! It's great to stay organized and drool over all the food I want to eat...

Center Bar 3535 is one of my favorites! Those tunes can't be beat either! - do you know if they still do the flights there?

Virgil's BBQ looks amazing! And the drinks!

Congrats on that Walking Dead win too, awesome!

Can't wait to see what else is in store for you two - have an awesome day! If you guys are looking for some cheap fun in the evening - might I recommend the hole-in-the-wall Casino Royale? It's steps away from Harrah's, a short walk from the Linq. I personally LOVE White Castle - plus you get $20 freeplay after your first $20 of loss for signing up for a player's card - and you rack up food comps towards White Castle, Outback, and some other places there. They have some pretty strong white Russians, along with affordable tables (if that's your style), and $1 Michelob beers, haha.

Love the trip report so far. The night before you check out go to the Diamond Check-in/VIP room bear the concierge ask them about getting rid of some of your charges. Last trip they wrote off the $50 per day upgrade on the suite and the resort fees along with on of my wife's spa days.

Good luck the rest of the way
