I have a trip planned for Oct 26th-30th.. I still plan on going but some have told me they would cancel in light of the shooting tragedy. Just wondering what others thoughts are.

Nope... I'll be there Tuesday for a couple days of R&R. I stay off-strip and do expect that that things may be a bit subdued, but I'm staying the course.

Edit: I should add, I sure wouldn't think less of anyone who did cancel or look for another place to travel. We're all different and such an occurrence is bound to affect us in different ways.

I’ll be there in 2 weeks and again in January.
I’m not going to quit living my life and doing the things I enjoy just because there are psychos in this world.

I have a trip booked in November. I was nope as this was happening. I woke up in the middle of the night and had checked Twitter so it was chaos. I’ve calmed down a lot already and there’s plenty of time to decide. Oddly, if I hadn’t booked that trip we would probably be in Vegas now on our honeymoon after our plans for Ireland fell through at the last minute. Since I already had a trip booked, I said no, so we are in San Diego. Next time I go on a honeymoon I need to remember to delete Twitter first.

Nope. Didn't even consider it for a second..Neither did my wife. I get very little time off in my business, and haven't had a vacation in 2 years; I'll be godamned if some piece of shit, coward, cocksucker that should have been aborted is going to change my plans for me either.

I know there are folks scared and nervous. But I do not get what they are afraid of.

    What happened is over.

If they are afraid, they probably should not go to Walmart or Church, etc.

Not going til December, but there is no way I will cancel. A few years back I came within inches (literally - my husband grabbed my shirt and hauled me backwards or I'd be dead) of being killed by a car that ran the red light between Bally's and Cromwell. My point being - there is danger everywhere, but I won't stop going places because of it.

Nope! Heading to Vegas on the 12th. We may be a little bit more vigilant and the atmosphere maybe a little bit more subdued but I'm not going to let a stupid coward change the way I live my life

    I wouldn't cancel do to a shooting.

But I do have a tentative booking for December I am reconsidering mainly due to health issues. Normally I would have booked airfare by now.

the only change I think I would make is changing hotels if I was booked at Mandalay Bay! I think I would be too sad trying not to think about the 32 floor.

No way. Was here during the shooting, at the airport now headed home. Never felt so glad to be leaving Vegas in my life. This trip was just a total bummer.

Have a trip booked Nov 12 and Dec 24. No plans on cancelling. Las Vegas is one of the most resilient places I have ever been. I would imagine in a month it will be a distant memory except for those poor people directly involved.

In the moment it was scared. Now I’m sad. I’m not sure I want to do Vegas sad. I don’t like crowds, I wouldn’t have been there anyway. Maybe at MB because I really like that casino and really want to stay there. I tend to stay off strip and go to Cosmo for a day or two at the end. I’d still stay at MB to be honest. And mostly I’m really interested in what the casinos did during the chaos. I haven’t seen many of those stories but I think those would weigh heavily in where I stay from now on. Once I’m home and have a computer again those will be the stories I search.
