A short video from my last trip to Vegas (recorded last Sunday or Monday). In the first minute of the video, you can see the Monte Carlo (Tram station / pool, the former Street of Dreams, Check-in, Casino)... construction still in progress:

    Thanks for the video!
I spotted the bird chairs outside Aria at 1:54. I like to sit and relax on those! :D

I called Monte Carlo this week to inquire on construction update. They said room renovations will be done by mid Dec and the rest by mid/late 2018

The Spa area is supposed to be done by the end of December. When I called and ask about when the Spa would be completed, they actually got someone on the phone from that area to answer my questions.

Have they released any renderings of what the upgraded rooms will look like?

There are some photos of the new standard rooms on their website. You can book one now, in fact.

To each their own but I absolutely hate it. I feel like it's circa 1930 Paris and Dadaism was the theme. I wouldn't be surprised to look out the window and see the Hindenburg floating outside.

Floor plans and other room details here: https://www.montecarlo.com/en/hotel/park-mgm.html

I'm not hating the look. For me it will depend on price and how the rest of the resort turns out (restaurants, pool, spa, etc.) Pretty solid location in my eyes. Might have to try it out for a night or two.

Prices looked like they are all over, from 49 to 479.

I found one video review of one of the upgraded rooms on YouTube.

It reminds me of just about any other mid-level room on the strip that's been recently upgraded. The bathroom looks nice.

The thing that bugs me the most of what I've seen so far is their tiny pool. I'd probably stay here during the colder months, but I'll stick with MGM or Mandalay during pool season.

Bathroom does look nice. Not a fan of the open closet, not much storage overall.

I think the room looks nice; however, I am agree with you on the location of the TV.

I just passed from Monte Carlo yesterday and the casino floor was a big mess. It felt like a maze with lots of blockages and walls. Even the walk to the tram was very boring without any retail establishments along the way.

I don't think I'd step foot again on this trip. It used to be one of my favorite places to play. First they killed the blackjack and now the floor.

I booked a room at MC for the second week in December - hopefully the rooms, or most of them, will be done by then. I think the new design is better than the existing rooms, but the rooms are pretty rough right now (or at least the one I stayed in during my June stay). At least with the new rooms, everything will be clean and new at least for a little while. Thanks to the folks that found the pictures of the rooms and the video.

This is also a pet peeve of mine. I hate to look at the TV sideways from the bed. PHo has some rooms like this. It drives me nuts. Overall the updated rooms look nice.
