Dinner at Canaletto was very nice. I purchased a deal through TravelZoo for $99. The deal offers a bottle of wine up to $45; two anitpasta up to $16.95; two main courses up to $36.95 and a shrared dessert up to $12.95. We ordered Prosciutto E Melone and Ostriche for the antipasti. Our main course we're Scaloppine Ortolane w/ mozzarella, eggplant, roasted tomato and basil; Grigliata di pesce con polenta. The dessert was a chocolate almond pistachio cake with salted carmel ice cream. Superb meal. The waitress was excellent. All the staff was.

We are having breakfast at Terrace Point Cafe in Wynn. Going to get our gamble on at Wynn. I had one hit last night at Wynn that sent me to bed a little happier. 4 5's playing at the $1 level.

So last night I went to bed with a $250 win. I was down $300 after giving Mr. Wynn a lot action on Monday our first day of gambling this trip. First action this morning I was playing $5 a hand DDB VP about halfway through my $500 buy-in I hit 4 Jacks for $1,250. Nice way to begin our 2nd day in Vegas!

Hopefully more pix like this to follow.

Checked out of Encore. Now sitting at a Video Poker machine at Red Rock Casino. We'll give them some play and then make our way to Paris.

Some pics. Popeye on the walkway between Encore and Wynn. The mountains west of town with storm clouds gathering. The entrance to Red Rock. And a darkening sky over Red Rock Canyon.

Gambling is good today. So far.

I've hit two 4OAK playing DDB at $1 level. With the win last night and the big hit this am at Wynn I am now playing with House Money. Restored my bankroll and added 'bout $850. I am a happy boy.

We are finishing up our lunch. Decided to hit the Feast Buffet here at RR. $9.99 per person for lunch. We used points of the players card. $0 for lunch. $5 tip for our gracious busy waitress.

First plate was some individual servings of; humus, brocoli and cauliflower in a tomato basil sauce, a relish of beans, corn and pepper.

Second plate was BBQ chicken leg, 2 oz pork roast, roasted egg plant squash and red pepper, some black olives and a bean salad.

Time to head for Paris and get a room.

Checked into Paris using the self serve kiosk. When I made the reservation I asked for a Burgandy room at the end of hall. The P rooms at the end of each hall are a little bigger with window views in two directions. The pics are the quirky L shaped entry. Looking into the room from the entry. The sitting area as you enter the room to your right.

More pics of the room. The little room with the bench and phone is the closet area on the way to the bathroom. The armoire has two closets. One has the iron and ironing board. The other has a small refrigerator.

My wife says the bathroom was not designed by a woman. The plug is on one side and the makeup mirror on the other. The makeup mirror does not light up. The make up mirror is too high. And she is a fairly tall woman. BTW the commode is across from the shower.

The Wolfgang part of the trip begins tonight. MyVegas rewards has a Wolfgang Puck section from which you can select rewards to be utilized at his joints in Vegas and Summerlin. We snagged rewards for BOGO or $25 off at Lupo at Mandalay Bay, Spago at Forum Shoppes, Cucina at Crystals, and Wolfgang Puck Bar and Grill at MGM Grand. We're gonna do 4 Wolfgang meals in 3 days. Hence the title of this trip report.

Probably play BlackJack sometime this evening and a session of $5 DDB VP seems almost reasonable.
Check in later or tomorrow morning.

How's the AC in your room at Paris? In June we had a P room and the room never really cooled off much. It was laid out exactly the same as your room.....the room is nice enough, but the tub sure seems plain compared to the rest of the reno. Here was our room number (I always take a pic of the room number when I first get there, I can barely remember my home phone number, much less a room number........doh!)

phantom - this room has stayed nice and cool. Of course in June when we were in Vegas the temps were over 110 degrees everyday. Don't know how cool the room would be in that heat. It was hot today but also cloudy at times.

    The tub is itty bitty.

Dinner at Wolfgang Puck's Lupo in Mandalay Bay was a solid meal. It is located near the rear of the property by Red Square. My wife had Frutti de Mare - $35. I had the Wood Oven roasted Pork Chop - $36. Chop was set in a dish of creamy polenta and a delicious serving of spinach. Best pork chop ever. She enjoyed her hand cut ribbon pasta with shrimp, scallops, fish and crab in a bollanaise (?). We used a MyVegas reward of one free entree with purchase of another. She had a glass of Merlot and I had a Eagle Rare 10yr old neat. Total was $99. Minus $35 + tax = $69.28. I left a 20% tip. Pretty good deal with the reward.

IMG_1278.JPG Wednesday- Already been to the spa. Whirlpool, sauna, cold whirlpool a shower and a shave I'm feeling pretty human.

Yesterday was lots of fun. Some really good wins playing Video Poker. Four 4OAK's playing $1. And 1 4OAK playing $5. My bank roll is intact. Even with all the wins I'm only up $400. We gambled enough to increase our status at Wynn. At least that is what the Red Card desk told me. Not sure what that means. We gave Paris lots of play late last night.

Off to Aria for some gambling after breakfast at Blondies at Miracle Mile. They have a ridiculous low price special. Eggs, sausage toast $3.99 - don't know if the price is still in play. We'll see. The pic is if a 4OAK just before bed about 1:00am this morning.
