I think I am going to go for it and stay at the Palazzo instead of Delano for a couple of nights...I have only gambled briefly there before but never really explored the resort or eaten at any of the restaurants there... Where and what are the best places to grab breakfast before heading over to the pool? Do they allow you to bring food and drinks over to the pool? How crowded do the pools get early? Where is a great place to enjoy a drink? Any particular restaurant recommendations? I like anything! Thank you
Grand Luxe is always my choice for a quick breakfast. There is one at each of the properties (Venetian and Palazzo), but I don't know where they are logistically between the rooms and the pool.
I believe Bouchon is on the same floor as the pool, but you will probably need to wear more than just a swimsuit to the restaurant. As far as restaurants, I think it would be a good idea to eat some meals at the Wynn/Encore, but if you must stay in the Venetian/Palazzo, I thought Lobster Me and Delmonico steakhouse were decent.
Breakfast - Bouchon (that's just based on the food - I don't really know if it's good before heading to the pool...maybe not since you'll want to eat everything on the menu!) Other good eats (IMO) - Carnevino, CUT, Grimaldi's and the aforementioned Bouchon is good for lunch and dinner as well.
Another Grand Lux fan here. When I'm on that end of the strip around the time of breakfast or lunch Grand Lux at the V (Never been to the one at the P) is my go to restaurant. I've been there many times and always had a nice meal with excellent service.
We went to Grand Lux one morning for breakfast when we stayed at the Palazzo and then kept going back. Very convenient, not crowded and delicious. The only problem is that it isn't really on the way to the pool. The pool is off the 3rd floor and to get to Grand Lux you have to go to the casino level and across the casino floor. They do have a small "to go" area that you can call an order down to or else they have pastries you can just pick up. I think that opens at 6. I believe the pool opens at 8. They let you bring in drinks but make you put them in plastic cups. There were a couple of employees waiting by the entrance to check for your key and to hand out cups as needed.
I am not sure if the restaurant that is outside of the Spa at the Palazzo is still open or not. We would have breakfast there sometimes when we used to stay at Palazzo. Before you get out to the pool deck take a left as if you were going to the spa and before you get there it's on the right. Good, healthy breakfast on the way to the pool.
So there are a couple pool areas you can use. The Palazzo has a main area and the Venetian has a main area. In addition, there is a small pool area adjacent to Bouchon for the Venezzia tower. When we do breakfast at Bouchon, we sit on the patio and simply step over into the small pool area after. If we are staying at Venetian, we grab a healthy breakfast at the Canyon Ranch Grill right by the Spa, then head to the main pool area of the Venetian. If you are at Palazzo, the quickest (as mentioned above) is the Grand Luxe, then head to the Palazzo main pool area.
Good food, good variety, good service, and a lively atmosphere all for a very reasonable price. It's not high cuisine, but it's far superior to typical strip casino coffee shops for about the same price. At least that's how I remember it.
I love the beignets at Bouchon as a starter with coffee. The al fresco dining is nice since the building shades the area during breakfast.
Thanks again to everyone and their suggestions...I have really liked staying here and will likely stay here again!!
I think V/P has the best eating outlets overall on the Strip. Between Grand Lux Cafe and Grimaldi's, you should be good. Great tasting food at reasonable prices. Fast and friendly service with very little wait. Also, the sourdough and butter they give you as a complimentary appetizer is just great on its own.
Breakfast at V/P is always Bouchon or Morel's. For every other meal the sky's the limit. Delmonico, Table 10. Yardbird, Chica's, Cut, Carnevino, B & B, Tao, Grimaldi's..... I think V/P has one of the best restaurant line-ups in town. Just stay away from Buddy V's. Worst meal we've ever had in Vegas was at that place, and we've eaten the IP buffet!!
i ate at buddy v's sorry i had the chicken parm. and a caesar salad and it was the best italian that i ever had..... plus ate at yardbird and was not impressed.......
