Tuesday to Tuesday trip 8/1 - 8/8

Been awhile since I've done a trip report so here we go!

As I already had a trip planned for July, plans changed and I ended up taking a trip in August. I also remember Hard Rock sent me some comps a bunch of July and August days comped probably all days minus Saturdays. $10 a day free play and $10 a day food credit.

How'd you get comped!?
Long story short $20 bill went up $280 and down $280 over the course of 3 hours ate at Mr lucky and had 2 gamblers special. Next day repeat the same. That's exactly what me and my lady did.

We end up booking the royal resort for 4 days, spend a night at my sisters house and then the comp 2 nights at the hard Rock.

1st night
Check in at the royal resort. I'm surprised more people don't stay here from this board but I love it. Cheap rates, clean rooms, it's a bargain considering the rooms come standard with a fridge and coffee maker with free coffe. Spent it with the family and ate at red lobster nothing too big

2nd night
Ate at binnions hangover burger which in my opinion is one of the best in Vegas on a budget and I'm including in & out. Gambled at downtown. Nothing too special.

Night 3
Clubbing night at the embassy my girl loves it. It's meh to me.

Night 4
I got a Groupon for hitsville motown show. Just a word of advice. You have to really know your motown to really enjoy the show. It's a fun show but my lady kept asking if I knew the songs lol. We ate at pampas. Good food... Skip the $17 lobster not worth it. If you get around to it Grab the Groupon for $57 for 2 people which includes unlimited drinks for 1 hour and dessert.

Night 5
Checked out of the royal resort FINALLY using myvegas rewards we see the beatles love. Great show! And not a bad seat in the theater. Bonus my lady had never really heard the beatles music but after the show it was all she wanted to listen to lol. We at at casanova in the Venetian. Great lobster ravioli & pizza.

Night 6
We rest and go grub at cravings in the mirage. Sucks about the parking but thankfully treasure island is still free. Cravings has the best deal for a buffet especially when you couple it with a myvegas b1g1. Plus booze is included.

We go back to the hotel and gamble as we try out hand at trying to get comped again so we signs up my girlfriend and I play on her card since I have the worse luck lol. But actually I don't do too bad for a low roller. About a 2 hour slot session I go up and down on 200 bucks with $20 Bill. It's about 4am and we go grab our gamblers special and then we go to bed

Final day.
We wake up hungry so we hit up Pizza Forte, one of the best pizzas I've had in Vegas. Definitely has its out taste which is good. Finally get to taste Dr pibb zero lol the things that excite me.

So it's about 5:30 and after 10 years of wanting to do this next thing I finally get to do it. I get tickets from travelzoo to go watch the las vegas 51s. Man what an awesome experience we just so happen to attend a game that is what 1 worker calls "smiths dollar mondays" hot dogs, pretzels, popcorn, peanuts, cracker Jack's, churros a buck each! To top it off our tickets came with a free 51s hat. Game was awesome we were at 3rd base about 6 rows from the front great view of the game. 51s lost 8 to 4 but man what a fun time. Definitely a must whenever I go during the season.

Get back to the hotel we play slots for a bit and hit vp at the center bar and we play for an hour after turning in. Laying down we wonder if we can book another 2 nights and we could fit in a human nature show and another 51s game but I remember I have some stuff I have scheduled that i cant get out of so we decide to hit the road back to la.

Fun trip and I can't say it enough. If you like sports go to a Vegas 51s game

 

We went to a 51's game a couple years back. It was a spring training exhibition game against the Cubs split squad. We had a good time but sitting out in the Vegas sun that long is not for me. The organization and stadium are great and pretty good baseball but if you go make sure you are prepared for the sun.

A trip to Hard Rock Casino is on the list for our October trip. The wife has never been there and I hear the venue for Raiding the Rock Vault is great.
