I'm looking to place some sports bets while not in Vegas. Can you recommend any good online betting sites? Thanks

I use bovada, they take American cc and will actually pay if you win.

I know you want to do this, but there are no truly safe/fair places for Americans to bet. You are at their mercy. They can stiff you and you're screwed. The Feds can shut them down at any time and you're screwed. You have no real verification that they won't cheat you, either, since they aren't subject to fair regulation.

I love to bet on sports, but when I add it all up, I don't see the pros/cons being worth it for the avg. American. If you want to put a little cash on that you don't care about, it's your money, but I don't see it as being worth it.

Since I haven't every placed an online bet, I appreciate your sense of caution, The Rumor. I'll consider what you've shared.

An excellent point. This happened to a client of mine. Not only did the feds shut down the site while it owed my client $30k, an IRS investigator showed up at his house unannounced wanting to interview him. Overall, not at all worth whatever entertainment value he got out of making the bets

What site if you know and where they were located? That is crazy to get an IRS visit!

They were based out of the carribbean, but had a US website and runners all over, at least, some southern states. I think the website was BetTD, or something like that. Can't recall for sure

Thanks for the reply..That kinda rings a bell, even advertising on the ESPN radio here..Someone was and that didn't last too long..
If these restrictions are ever revoked I would recommend Carib and Heritage as legit.
