Believe it or not, many people I know who have lots of money ask this sort of thing and will walk if it's too much (for whatever it is!). This is why they have lots of money... :)

And as 93 says above.... seriously, he's right.

This is one of my favorite spots on the strip and I make it a priority to stop in every trip to grab a couple drinks.

I call mine "The Martini Bank'. I pour them in when I have surplus and pour them out when I need them. Also known as 'The 32 Ounce BPA Free Bottle of Liquid Courage'.

The day I worry what anybody thinks of me in Vegas is a sad day indeed! I have no such worries, if I feel it's not worth it I will say 'no thanks' and move on. Who cares what anybody else thinks......

friend owns it and all my friends work there, i swear they must have got me drunk and put a gps tracker in me, I try to sneak in and as soon as I hit the bar my drink is in front of me

once the virtual reality store on the Linq right by the old hat shop closes up, that will be the 2nd location of Fuel Bar

we got a good laugh and even the owner Michael thought it was funny, someone took the BOGO coupons and are trying to sell them on eBay for $2.50 a piece, lol

I'm sure glad places like the Barbary Coast, Boardwalk, westward Ho, Stardust, frontier, Riviera, hell even Bourbon street are gone makes getting inexpensive or just about free liquor in and around the strip sooooo much easier.

+1 for why care about why people who you'll never see again think about you?
+1 for why not buy some bottles of booze off strip and transfer into a flask/plastic bottle or cup?

From my experience, small pop up shops offer the best bang for your buck.. I stopped by the circle bar outside Ceasar's Palace, I forgot what I ordered but I can't make this up... The guy got like a 32 oz cup and filled a 1/3rd of it with pure vodka and the rest was juice or something... $18 dollars for a great buzz... Not bad in my book.

Groupon has 4-hr open bar at Rock & Reillys for $35 or 2 Guiness for $10.

With a little planning you could save some money drinking in Las Vegas. First thing get groupons for places that your thinking or wanting to go to. I got Blondie's $100 Groupon for my trip for $35. Then if you play myvegas there a few rewards that let you get drinks with them. After that take advantage of happy hours and drink specials. Also Make and take your own drinks from your room.
For are trip we built a loose itinerary around groupons, myVegas, cityzen app, HH & drink specials, and drinks from the room. I feel going into Vegas with a good flexible plan is the best way to go. Making sure to keep things fun the whole time. By having your plan in place getting side tracked with a spur of the moment casino bar run. Will be a more bearable. Knowing your saving money and getting deals else where.

I'm interested in knowing the best place to get the BOGO cards For the fuel bar. I'll definitely look for them when I get to Vegas. Sounds like a fun thing for the group on going with.

I love this attitude..........I don't really think it is low class, or cheap.....just logical.

My Vegas walk around money is for gambling, period.

I have a budget for every vacation I take. For instance, a New Orleans budget for me would be for music, if I can save a couple bucks on drinks down there it would go to pay cover charges to see more bands.

If I was going somewhere to vacation, drink by the pool and read and relax I would have fancy poolside drinks in my budget.....but my diposable budget in Vegas, again, is for gambling.

If I can have my Strip walking drink in hand ( might be a couple drinks depending on the walk :ssst: ) for a couple bucks and all I spent was on a bottle and some mixer I will have ten or twenty more bucks saved to make a profit gambling / see some comps.

The savings will surely be used for gambling and tipping, the money stays in town, just not spent on something I can have almost complete control over with very minor effort. Multiply three or four days in town, two or three casino hops a day for two people you can save maybe a couple hundred bucks or more over full pay bar cocktails on your stay.

Plus, it's part of the "game" down there for me, you can still vacation in Vegas for a great value and feel like you broke even.......like I tell my friends.......except for air fare, rental car, room, parking, and resort fees.

Not cheap, just frugal, like the Forum's name..... at least that is the story I am sticking with

look for guys in a black shirt with "fuel Bar" in blue on the front and back...they usually hang right in front the wahlburger gift shop by CVS or along the walk way in front of the shops at Ballys, they will give you a few cards and sometimes will walk you back to the bar...the bar itself is back by the actual wahlburger restaurant

this is what to look for...now the card does say 1 per visit but they do not enforce this...usually they will limit each person about 3 cards

    Loving this thread!

I enjoy a drink as much as the next person, I don't enjoy having to sell the family silver to pay for it.

Thank you for all the information!

I will admit that I do not go looking around for the cheapest drink, as I am lazy when on vacation. At least once or twice a trip, we do take advantage of a happy hour. On the occasions when I buy a cocktail at a bar or at a restaurant that is on the expensive side, I will not hesitate to send it back if it does not taste right. If you are going to charge high prices, you better make a great cocktail.
