Gonna cut to the chase about any more wins and post what we brought back up to the room for the night.
Then some of the machines we got them on.
For those of us who've had multiple trips to Vegas, (and even for the first timer) how well we do winning $$$ can go up and down.
And much of the time it's down.
But when the nice wins happen you should savor them because it's not the norm...and not a regular thing.
So here's the total take back up to the room:

    Since you're unpacking, here's a...

    bag of thanks.jpg

Or maybe it's a couple more cats. :ssst:
You'll have to open it to find out... :D

Thank you, @ardee , for your excellent TR.

    Those three days flew by!
Although my kazoo is back in its protective tin,
and my leotard, legwarmers, and headband are back in my cedar hope chest,
the memories and inspiration this TR provided will live on forever!

I'm not the best photographer...clearly. Gonna get the eyeroll from hubster for not
capturing all his wins but I'm used to that by now.

    You're welcome!
    I try...
It's hard to type with my nose, especially adding the icons and changing the font color.
My bride bought me a new jacket.
She said the buckling the arms behind the back is the new style...

Neglected to mention the great pics in your TR, too!

There's no way to win some money at slots without
having a budget to stick to and enough of a bankroll
to ride through the dry spells.
It's not like we came back with a bundle.
But we did come back with an extra $560.35 which we
    are really okay with.
And also because we went up to the room about
8pm... so actually...WE MADE FIVE HUNDY BY MIDNIGHT!!!
Gotta love it! I know I do.

    P.S.
The squeaky-donut didn't get wacked. He came home with us.
Now he's the lucky donut. He partied hard last night but he deserved it:

Hubster here. Since I start school Monday it's time to get back into grading mode. To wit, in roughly chronological order:

Diego, the check-in guy: A Pleasant, affable, got us the room we wanted quickly and offered to help with anything we needed.

Room 2819 (Terrace Suite, Fountain View): A Would have gotten an A+ but, through no fault of its own, the room was a mirror image of the last one we had at Cosmo, and that threw the wife a few curves when trying to, for example, find the bathroom in the middle of the night, while still half in the bag. (Love you, hon!)

Holsteins: A- Nice use of space, good, strong cocktails, pleasant servers. Great meat, but the brioche buns are a weak point.

Cocktail service: A Much better than last trip. The "secret menu" is quite tasty. Raspberry Lemon Drop and Cosmo were a hit.

Slots: A Hand-pays will really skew the scoring, let me tell you! Buffalo Grand and The Flintstones 3-reel were the hot machines the first night.

Beauty & Essex: B- Plusses: desserts, grilled cheese/tomato soup dumplings. Minuses: noise, rushed service, truly ordinary mac & cheese. The cocktails were complicated and needed a slow appreciation, which the place doesn't give you. As for the din...let's just say that the average age in the restaurant that night was over 40. This wasn't a noisy club crowd. It was their parents! No effort towards acoustics anywhere. It's a place checked off our list, but we won't be back.

Las Vegas Metro Police: A Don't know why, but they had a Bell Jet Ranger parked about 1000' above the Flamingo/LVB intersection for some time both Tuesday and Wednesday nights. No spot, just....sitting there. The pilot had a steady hand, too, because that bird didn't move a bit. Just...hovered.

The Henry: A Strong Bloodies, large, tasty portions, strong coffee.

Slots, Part Deux: A No hand-pays, so we had to grind out the wins. Elvis, Elvira and Sharknado paid off big. The Simpsons were cold the first night, hot the second, so that's a wash. Five Hundy by midnight, baby! A winning trip!

The in-room bartender: A++ Funny, handsome, debonair. Made excellent martinis and Manhattans. Don't know where they found this devil, but he's a keeper!

Ron, the room service waiter: A+ Funny guy who knew his stuff.

Secret Pizza via Room Service: A This is the way to get pizza if you're staying at Cosmo. No lines, delivered to your room. Pizza isn't as good as Grimaldi's, but it's still better than anyplace else that will deliver.
*Wife edit to say: Room was missing the in-room dining menu. I asked if they had pizza and that's when Alexis, my other buddy, told me about
it coming from Secret Pizza. So there you go. At least something in this report was informative and not a total waste of time for y'all. :peace:*

*Hubster edit: I was going to comment on the stunning blonde I had for a dinner partner, but now I'll just sit in the office and pout!*

In-room music: A+ Before the trip, I picked up a Bluetooth speaker from Hypergear and set up a Vegas playlist on my phone in iTunes. Get back to the room, pull up the playlist on my phone, hit "Shuffle" and away we go! Trust me, you want one of these. 3 hour battery time, but I just plugged it into the USB port next to the phone and we had music all night.

So all in all, this trip goes in the gradebook as a A. Even the construction on the I-15 in Victorville couldn't bring us down. People driving up from LA be aware - 45 minute plus delays going through Victorville both ways. Caltrans is finally fixing the mess through the Mojave River gorge. Expect delays for the next few weeks.

Does Beauty & Essex get a participation trophy? :poke:

Of course, I'll forgive the grade inflation due to the thorough reviews and fantastic TR!

That's a shitload of "A" ratings. I really enjoyed your report, and it sounds like it was a great trip! It is tempting me to go back to Cosmo!

*****I remembered 2 things that I believe brings down the hubster's ratings for this trip to a SUPER B+++++ for me.
Okay, A--- but I'm still in the honeymoon phase.

No clock in the room except on the microwave??? Weird.o_O
I like to have a clock by the bed so I don't have to reach for my phone in the middle of the night to
see what time it is. (I'll bring a travel clock next time we stay)

What is the deal with the pockets of stankiness every 20-30 ft. while walking through
    the resort? :(
This includes the other levels where there are vast open spaces near
    the meeting halls.
Super duper rotten eggy/sulphury smells that come and go as you stroll through the walkways.

I'd have thought it was a fluke for this trip but I remember the same thing on our last visit in June.
Anybody else encounter this on their visits to Cosmo or should I blame it on the husband?
